If l go plan managed, Do l sent the invoices received by the service provider to the plan manager to process the payment.

Hi, great information thanks. With regards to amounts charged by the Service Provider/s and the possible lag with invoicing e.g. if 4 invoices are sent at once and not necessarily budgeted for, can an agreement be made regarding how often and how many invoices are sent at once to encourage or maintain consistency of payment frequency ? And also it appears that the plan mangers aren’t monitoring what is spent i.e. from the video towards the last quarter it seems it’s not their job from the sounds of it, so would this be where either the participant or their informal primary Carer (Or their Support Coordinator if they are eligible to use one in their plan) needs to be monitoring this closely and regularly communicating with the Service Provider/s about this ? Is the Plan Manager someone who basically just manages the administration of invoices rather than managing the plan ? And if so just wondering why it’s called plan managed rather than invoice or administration managed ? Thanks

Hi Kevin, Thank you for your comment. We are glad you enjoyed our webinar. MyIntegra offers a service called Reserved Funds, where you can set aside money for specific providers for services you’ve already agreed to, so that there are always funds available to pay upcoming invoices. There is also the option to talk to your individual service providers about their invoice processing time, so you can have an idea of what to expect. The term ‘Plan Management’ is one coined by the NDIS - while this title can be a little confusing, the role of a Plan Manager is centred around the financial administration of a participant’s plan. As Plan Managers, we have two main ways we help our clients. The first is to handle the ‘financial admin’ side of things - claiming from the NDIS in line with the price guide, paying providers quickly, processing your expenses, and providing monthly statements. To keep things moving quickly, we auto-approval invoices once they have been successfully submitted - or you can choose to opt-out and review invoices from individual providers. Secondly, we also help you to better understand your plan funding utilisation, so that you are getting the most out of your NDIS plan. Our online portal is full of handy tools and we send you notifications to keep you on track with your spending, so you know if you are at risk of overspend or underspend. If you have a support coordinator or a nominee, they can also assist with monitoring this information using our portal tools, or via the phone or email.
