It's all the same complaints that they have when we try to do a British accents... mixing regionalisms, inconsistency. Like for example, right off the jump, dude pretending to be from Arkansas put in a lot of Georgia accent features. Actually I think going for AAVE might be the best move, because British people probably have a lot of experience hearing it from movies and music, and you can get away with a lot of regional inconsistencies putting on a black American accent, because the accent spans different regions and the differences between them are even obscure to a lot of native American speakers. New York or Boston might be intuitive because you can be non-rhotic and they are on the right side of the cot-caught merger for Brits, but the downside is an actual northeasterner will catch you the moment you say anything.
