Why did NDP voted 'No' for the non- confidence vote? Why won't MP Singh break the coalition?
@coolioso8087 ай бұрын
Did you not listen to the interview? He said NDP have tried to push Liberals to expand healthcare to Pharamcare and dental care, which Liberals are reluctant to do and Conservatives don't want to do at all, and want to privatize. NDP don't agree with a lot of Liberal policy but they are using their leverage to try and get Liberals to pass legislation that can help Canadians more while Liberals are in power. It would be the same sort of strategy if a minority Conservative government worked with Bloc or any PPC to include stuff Bloc and PPC want so the Cons could get their way to privatize. It is concerning that the fear politics promoted by Pierre and the Cons and the minimal support for Canadians by neoLiberals is looking like it is leading to a potential majority Conservative government in 2025. Like Canadians are learning nothing! We've done Conservative leadership before and it didn't solve problems. Many provinces have Conservative leadership and they aren't solving any problems really. Albert and Ontario have Conservative leadership and also have the highest income inequality in all of Canada.

NDP are in a position to use leverage, which any political party could do. Cons would do the same. You should thank historical NDP policy and leadership, like Tommy Douglas, if you ever enjoyed free healthcare services and aren't currently bankrupt right now from medical costs like millions of Americans face because of their privatized for-profit sickness and disability care system. @@lochlanensign5034 let's cut to the core here; Capitalism makes life more expensive for humans. And locking social needs like housing, nutritious food, expanded healthcare, higher education, transportation and Internet access behind a paywall is part of the problem generated by the unsustainable incentives of market capitalism. The system is the sickness and the bad politicians are symptoms. I don't think Jagmeet is a great leader, I think Jack Layton was much better and Tommy Douglas, although he came along before my time, was clearly a hugely influential man who never even had the office of the PM but still got the Government of the day to pass Medicare for All. Imagine how sorry and MORE expensive our lives would be if we had a terrible housing crisis like the US but we also had the privatized insurance system of healthcare like the US where millions go bankrupt for basic medical services or don't get coverage at all. I don't argue for NDP because Jagmeet is a great leader, I say, let's discuss this intelligently and rationally. PP and the Cons are objectively worse for most Canadians. It is astounding to me that people are falling for their Con job, built on fear and hate. I don't care for NeoLiberals, but I also throw Trudeau in as another bad politician symptom of a sick system that still exists. We need local movements that are able to change our fundamental socio-economic system from unsustainable corporate controlled to cooperative, viable and prosperous for all. And if NDP somehow came into power in 2025, any social programs we hope to have to help people have a safety net would have a much better chance of happening in that case opposed to the dangerously harmful privatization schemes that a majority Conservative government could do. I'd say communities could work with One Small Town Contributionism model locally and educate around political awareness through that cooperative system and then make better decisions while people are helping people meet their needs locally.

Sweden and other Nordic countries have strong government funded social programs for education, healthcare, child care and other things that people care about leading to overall top 10 happier and healthier lives compared to other countries in the world.
