Over a hundred, pre-selected, young dance talents (17-21 years old) from all over the world came to The Hague to audition for a place in NDT's second company next season. They had to attend different classes and performe a solo. Five of them were eventually selected by the artistic staff.
Every year, NDT 2 opens the audition for young dance talent. Dancing for NDT 2 means working together with upcoming choreographers, the opportunity to learn to react quickly to different dance languages, techniques and working methods.

Je trouve toujours ça très réducteur lorsque les directeurs se permettent de dire qu'ils ont été très sélectifs afin de choisir les meilleurs danseurs. Il va s'en dire qu'ils ont des gouts spécifiques pour leur style et absolument rien n'est objectif dans une audition. Les danseurs choisis ne sont pas nécessairement les meilleurs danseurs mais bien ceux qui correspondent le mieux à leurs critères voilà tout.
