The lyrics scream "because of you" before because of you was a thing. While the very beginning of the video where Ne-Yo writes "So Sick", makes me think "So Sick" is possibly his worst nightmare that may come true. Plus the last line of both verse 1 and the first two lines of the pre-chorus where he sings, "And I feel sick, You see And this is all just at the thought of you leavin' me. Baby, I'm a fool, Am I stupid? Baby, I'm a fiend, Addicted to it" makes me believe that his fears of her leaving him does happen pretty soon. I could be wrong, but this song could be a prequel to "So Sick" and that continues to "Do You".
