Having used High Capacity vehicles in the past (as a passenger, not an operator or driver!) the width and legroom (or lack of) of the seats don't make it comfortable. Its okay for a trip round town but, if going any distance (even with schoolkids - unless on a school contract I suppose) not ideal...unless you get the front aisle seat on the right hand side with no one next to you! Then you get legroom and a wide seat!

@@LeeAllen-lq7ml Back when I was at school and I got a school bus (operated using a normal bus and was public for part of the way during the morning) the number of students allowed was limited to the amount of seats it had. Being a Leyland Lynx (early 2000's this was!) it was 49...although often we didn't have a Leyland Lynx and a similar size or smaller bus was used. That was how (presumably) the bus company solved the problem (Olympians weren't an option due to a low bridge).
