I’m an Irish fiddler, and whistle player, from California; The parallels between this and Irish _séan nós_ dancing are just amazing to me. Even in Mexico, look up _zapatecas_ - they dance on boards like this, which I’m sure was influenced by Spanish hardshoe dancing… which I’m guessing influenced early Irish dancing, centuries ago. Crazy how traditions evolve, travel, and are molded within the communities they become a part of.

I hope that other performers feels the way Mr. Maupin feels about preserving that form of wonderful entertainment. It's what real life really can be, not sure that folks nowadays understand that.

"Ach du lieber, mein schatz"! WOWIE WOW WOW!!! Man o man, do I love to see this wonderful guy "strut his schtooff"! Is BUCK DANCIN' "akin" to TAP DANCIN'? Bet Mr. Maupin weighs all of 110lbs OR LESS (soppin' wet!)!!! Size 29 pants too? What a great PLEASURE he must get from his dancin'! HE & Sammy Davis Jr. should have teamed together!!! They could share the same pants too! The banjo playin' is "first class" too!! "Gesundheit"!
