I always keep 3 per lane. A main champ, someone who counters my main (usually if they're picked so I can still pop off) and the 3rd is one to fill a dif role. Examples for top: fiora, Darius, Shen JG: Hecarim, Kindred, Master Yi Mid: Ahri, Fizz, Yone ADC: Caitlyn, Jinx, and Vayne Support: just play a hook champ, an enchanter, and a mage. @@alb9022 no cause 5 are only for one matchup, and if you don't specialize in fill (5 man flex with friends mainly and solo queue only when alone) you can cut out all but for just 2 roles unless it's like Mid/top or some shit where you'll be auto filled jg or support. If I'm playing solo it's JG/ADC and I focus Hecarim Kindred mainly and cait jinx. Vayne is only if they have 2 bruiserd and a tank or 3+ beefy boys. Yi is used when they have no CC and we have another engage and front line. So it cuts them down pretty well and I have st least one champ I can use to mesh with whatever team to help chances of winning. What I like about Neace is how he takes all picks seriously and considers them as if the pick will play at utmost efficiency, as in not to underestimate anyone, in this case the random Kog'ma jungle. Neace was pointing out when might he gank or even to be careful of an R out of fog of war. I see often people either discredit weird picks then are caught off guard by them, or flame their team for weird picks and refuse to play with them even if the player is actually doing fine. Sometimes you also see players get comfortable in a winning game state like, "Oh we're winning so I'm gonna mess around" and relax, and after a few mistakes woops you lost the game. I think its important for one's own improvement and climb to never underestimate or disrespect the opposing team. P.S. Sticking to a tiny champion pool really does help, I play only 2 in a 90/10 ratio - being able to adjust your game plan and experiences from game to game help to improve over the long run as you learn to look for and recognize opportunities for your champion specifically otherwise you'll always be "starting over" switching between champions and won't cross that threshold.

Neace, can you please make an educational video explaining item path building vs different types of team comps from various roles. Similarly adding rune path choices depending on enemy team comp? But I feel like with your level of knowledge and coaching experience you can put together something incredibly useful for all of us.

@@iFParasit I agree with you. However there are a lot of similarities between the way you need to be thinking in regards to both topics. I’m sure someone with Neace’s knowledge and coaching experience (and creativity) would be able to condense this in some format that would give insight or guidance. Lots of champions share similarities and build paths as well as rune structure. Generalities could suffice. Even if it wasn’t in one video and broken down into videos subject on a particular role. Like ADC build path and rune analysis. Could give general guidance and with some specifics by looking at a few different matchups that can be applied for similar champs in itemization or rune path. There are a lot of different ways and it is definitely possible. Just depends what format amount of videos and time allocated. Also if you are going in depth or generalist approach. 35:20 this is actually something I need to descipline myself to learn when it comes to losing games. I always have this mindset that 5v5s give me a better chance at surviving when I'm big but if we've lost every team fight, it's better to take a shot at a 3v1 or 2v1 to turn the tides rather than watch the same shitty team fight again.
@kriptonis2 жыл бұрын
In a game where your team is losing but you are big its a question of odds right? vs a team of 5 there is more possibility of one of them blocking you and taking you out. 2v1 or even 3v1 if you are fed and the others are not tanks.. you have better odds. Of course if game is even or you are winning, the logic could be different. The way I see it is you should take bigger risks when behind to try to change the course of the game. The biggest questions to answer when looking for a one-trick champion, IMO: 1) Do you enjoy playing the champion? Can you play them for literally hundreds of games without getting bored? 2) When the champion gets fed on the enemy team, how scared are you of them? This should be a general indication of their carry potential in solo queue (e.g. fed Master Yi vs. fed Sona) 3) Can you make your fingers do what they need to do for the champion to be effective? Where is when that Tristana player coached you and explained all her mechanics and interactions to you .. none of that came as a surprise to me. I was hoping he'd teach me something I didn't know about her and he did not but I seem to be cursed .. if I play her, I get really horrid teams. I play other ADCs, I get decent teams.

I feel like I am cursed on Tristana. I rarely pick her, just sometimes feel like she fits in perfectly into enemy and my team. I'm not greatest but I use her tricks here and there. I got off a few really good games on her where I basically solo carry. And then... it started. Everytime I pick her I start making terrible ego calls, ones that I alraedy know I fucked up mid air W, I go literally dried up dog poopoo mechanics and sewage sludge DNA. Just straight up int. Sometimes I win because her teamfighting is just so good, even get a good looking kda but it's so bad that I get tilted for rest of day and just don't play ranked because it stays with me even if I swap champions.

Wanna know my climbing secret that people barely do? Step 1: mute all chat to avoid tilting Step 2: play a champ you’re good at, you don’t need to enjoy it just need to know how to play it Step 3: keep your champion pool 2-3 champs at most incase bans,picks counter picks happen. Step 4: pay neace to coach you

Wasn't the secret to spam one/very few champions? "It's crazy how obvious this secret sounds, but amazing how barely anyone does it. Consider a plat one trick, even they don't do it." Don't plat one tricks do exactly that?
@YuYuYuna_2 жыл бұрын
That is the secret. I don't see the confliction here. He's always said to play a max of 1-3 champions. The issue with most players is they want to climb while also chilling and goofing around on whatever champion they feel like playing that game. If you are stuck in low elo and aren't climbing you need to pick 1-2 champions that you want to main and say "I'll stick to these champs and only pick a different one - IF - those two champs are picked/banned away." It goes for most things in life, not just video games. If you are struggling you want to reduce the variables so that you can focus and not force yourself to juggle a million things when you haven't even mastered juggling 1-3 champions.
@NEACE2 жыл бұрын
It's about knowing every single interaction and every detail about a champion that no one else knows. Plat one tricks know the basics of their champ but not the tiny interactions that you don't usually see.
