I was his guest to this event. He knew how much it meant to me to be there because I love the Dead so, and he knew how to love with the little things that Ripple into forever. I cannot tell how you how much I cherish that memory. And I also cannot tell you how much this means to me to have this pop up in my feed today. Thank you so much for posting. 🌹NFA♾❤️♾NC.

I saw him a year ago in Stockholm with CRB. When he played his solos, the men in the audience just smiled from ear to ear, spellbound. Hard to understand He's Gone, it hurts and I miss him... RIP Neal, my guitar hero.

I first saw Neal with Chris Robinson's Brotherhood. What a powerful, skilled, talented, incredible performer. And he showed no outward signs of depression. But then again, I suffer from clinical depression, and I'll tell ya, it’s hard. Sometimes you just want to crawl in a hole and pull the opening in behind you, and the worst part is, you don't know why, you’re just suddenly overcome with massive sadness. I manage mine well, but I am concerned with all the many super stars in the last few years that are gone. And it isn’t just band members; it’s all types of artist. I think maybe we see more band members because we listen to music so much. At any rate if you have issues with depression, any depression, see a Dr. There are a lot of things that can help. But talking to someone is the first, and that always helps.

Neal’s passing is a reminder to us all that no matter what things appear to be seldom are they what they seem! Case in point: not only was Neal a tremendously gifted player singer songwriter but so believed by his contemporaries family and friends yet on that fateful day took his own life in a very dark place void of the beauty and gifts of his wonderful life and gifts! I’m so heartbroken for Neal and all of humanity because it’s far too common! I can only hope he’s found peace and live along the great divide! A kind gentle soul yet in spite of his gifts a wide net of friends and admirers chose to leave it all behind ! God bless us all that we may know the gift of life live and the heartache of loss! As the Buddha said “there’s no pain like hunger but NO SORROW LIKE SEParation”! So true as we are left to understand what can’t be explained to heal the deepest of sorrow.... we love you NEAL....

I don't get it honestly. His voice is mundane. His guitar playing is sub par. I saw this guy with CRB and it was like a 2nd rate Dead cover band. Why the hell is this guy so revered?
@Sassifrassilassi4 жыл бұрын
Because he was an angel. Jesus man, what's wrong with you? He gave people joy while he was here.
@Dedalus119732 жыл бұрын
Have you listened to his own records? Give it a go, you may not like it in the end who knows but at least you'll have a formed opinion. Towards the end of his stint with CRB he was by no stretch of the imagination a sub par guitar player. The color and feel he added to the Cardinals goes way way above any technical ability. His voice may not be powerful but it's very distinct and immediately recognizable. Please share your albums, I'd be happy to learn how good you are as a songwriter and musician. Peace dude.
