I was one lucky girl to have had the pleasure of seeing Neal live here in Denver. He put on an amazing show that night opening for the equally amazing Black Pumas! One of my goals this year concert wise is to attend one of his shows again. His band is also phenomenal, as you can tell from this video. Long live Neal and his band! :)

Had the pleasure of seeing Neal Francis twice in 2023. The gig at Caramoor in Katonah was truly special, as the band were able to improvise, expand, and just go all out in an extended jam in the second set. Sometimes we focus too much on the bandleader. Neal is fortunate to have such talented musicians with him. Can’t wait to see the KZbin TV streaming premiering tonight. Wishing all the best for this hard working, seemingly touring everywhere band of talented people.

Went to Birmingham for a weekend to see Wilco and had a blast. Spent the afternoon cruising downtown on an electric scooter and went to the dank shop. Enjoyed some products and this guy told me and a friend about Neal. Went to get ready for the show and didn’t realize the Saturn was right across the street from Avondale Brewery. Went in and bought a ticket after Wilco and was transported into the hazy, soulful, and funkadelic sounds of Neal and Company. I was blown away! I have never seen so many people smiling, dancing, and share a collective energy like that before! If you haven’t seen them live, do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself! Truly a special experience!🍻

Someone asked me tonight, "what's the best album of this century?"... Without a second thought, I said, "'In Plain Sight,' hands down." I cannot get over the talent, the sound, the musicality. I'm baffled how this band isn't a household name...yet!? I keep trying to share this with everyone I know. It's brought an immeasurable amount of joy (in a pretty dark moment) and just gives and gives. From a very deep place, thank you for this amazing creation and hard work. It is a true masterpiece.
