Rollercoaster episode, loved everything after the beginning! Please take that wheel to an automotive shop when you can. The damage to the rim may have weakened the seal and you could potentially wake up to a flat tire that won't hold air. A shop with the right tools would be able to repair the dent to the metal.

While driving on Eastern Europe, always have your dashcam on recording. There is a lot of insurance issues there. Safe travels!

My heart dropped when I saw this title. Two months ago I was side swiped in the exact spot. I just got my van back yesterday after 6 weeks of waiting for repairs. The total cost was 6k repair those pieces. Luckily, the insurance of the person at fault paid. Wishing you both the best and I hope the repair in Europe is much less. I’m glad you are all ok. Scary roads though.

Just like in the US, you should call the police immediately. In Albania and Europe, the emergency # is 112 and works without a signal. The # for traffic police in Albania is 126, but 112 is a unified # and supposed to connect with all the other emergency services. Just glad everyone on both sides are uninjured and the vehicles are still drivable.

Thank God the accident was minor. But I’ve been watching you travel those narrow roads knowing how fast some people drive, and I’ve been very worried about you. So take this as a warning not to go on those roads anymore. Someone could knock a van over a cliff with a high enough impact. Please we love you stay safe. Some views are spectacular and some roads are good shortcuts, but they’re just not safe enough to risk them. That said, The artisan food at that restaurant was fantastic. What a great place, top shelf. (Except for me because I’m vegetarian I feel sad for the animals. ). So glad you had such a lovely experience following the traumatic one.
