Nice piece of mooring but I did laugh about the sound of the shackle and halyard banging on the mast sounding like on a bucket with your head inside, ha ha. Yes, at night in pitch dark trying to work out which halyard is rattling is not the easiest of things to verify. I use a cord on either side of the mast to secure any lines and pull them out from the mast by tying the outer end to the shrouds. Seraphim is a great boat and obviously can moor against a pontoon on a drying berth and rightly, there can be a trough outside the pontoon which could cause the boat to tip so thevextra fenders were a good idea. Oh well, you all survived, another successful outing!

At night you can hear more. Especially when it is regular banging just above your head. And if not for you it can be annoying for others.
