you are getting too close to the dog you wanna just get close enough spam e then let it gett a little distance then go for another pet i have tamed a 150 with no ghillie and after yo pet it lay down so it wont run that might help to petting them buffs them only the pack leader can be peted i think and it makes them do more dmg and the highest lvl is pack leader

Perfecting the process gives you a baby Rhynio that inherits all the base stats you had on the creature you used as a host... Granted, that means you need mutated Gigas, Carchas or Brontos for the best Rhynio possible...

I remember using a specific design of cage for taming Hyaenodons. The walls were made of doorframes and it had a regular floor, and then a second floor made of trapdoors that they stood on. You could stand under the trapdoors and pet them through the holes. It worked pretty well, but I absolutely suggest getting two and mass breeding them over mass taming them, even with the cage. Even in the cage they can freak out and lose progress if you're not doing it just right. Easy to burn out on it after it draws on for hours.

I really enjoy your content and I'm greatly enjoying this series! Your dedication to trying to get that Hyaenodon was very commendable lol!! The aids comments through this series are getting to be a bit much for me though. I'm not asking you to change or anything ridiculous like that as I'm not one of those people out here trying to bully content creators into changing because of my own sensitive feelings, that's mine to navigate. However, I do feel it's important to make you aware use of aids in a joking manner like this can be rather uncomfortable for those who have lost loved ones to aids or complications with it (myself included in this), just incase you weren't aware of it. One dino that I think you should tame is a high level Stego. They're very underrated and very useful because you can shoot from their backs meaning you can tranq stuff while riding them, when they're in Hardened Plates mode they take 50% less damage from ALL sources of damage, and you can't be dismounted by anything(besides the stupid jelly fish things). This makes them very good for taming dinos since they can just tank huge amounts of damage making HP one of the best stat to level up. They're also really good wood and thatch harvesters while also being the best berry harvesters in the game. Plus they can prevent dinos from running away when close to falling asleep because they can use their special tail attack, if the target is below a certain HP threshold(70-80% I believe), where they'll lock the target down preventing them from moving, dealing damage over time while holding them down, and rapidly drain their stamina which prevents them from running away since they have no stamina to do so. The only downside to the Stego is that they're pretty slow, but that makes sense due to them being a literal tank that can go on a warpath. P.S. They take a LOT of tanqs to knock out since they're always in Hardened Plates mode by default meaning that they'll take 50% less damage meaning they'll also take 50% less torpor damage and their torpidity meters are typically very large with a minimum amount of 6k for a max level 150.

Dude stegos are amazing. I tamed one super early in Aberration and that dude has saved my ass so many times. I swear they can tpk wild raptor and ravager packs

@@partlycloudy7707 Stegos are honestly just one of the best tames to have imo. They can handle just about anything that is thrown at them besides a Giga since a level 1 Giga is the equivalent of a level 50 Alpha Rex. The only things that you need to get used to really are doing the combos with the tail(since attacking in the same direction twice in a row usually causes targets to ignore/avoid getting hit), the slowness of their speed, and the fact that you can't exactly hit enemies that are directly in front of you(forcing you to either push past the target a little or just turn a little to your side). Plus you don't have to really worry about crossing bodies of water with the Megs and such attacking you from the back since you can still use the tail while swimming(jellyfish are still a problem though). Also I typically turn the harvesting setting for my Stegos off since it's annoying af to be trying to fight something then hit a tree accidentally causing you to become overweight.

tame one of the gavarexes, you got good blueprints for their saddles from the alpha. the overdrive gavarex is tougher than an alpha and thing allmost destroyed you so I recommend building an army of deinos, or mutated rexes or gigas, like 20 of them and than you can try and don´t spawn it anywhere near your base!

I'm not going to lie, having that new dino come in and wreak everything felt like a DM going "Okay party, today you'll fight an end game boss for fun," Then after losing over half your hard work going, "And you get a nice skin for your pet that died." What I'm trying to say is, that wasn't fun. It honestly was pretty annoying to have happen and to have it all happen due to the server host adding something with the only warning being "This will end up killing everything," is not only short notice, it's piss poor notice. If I was a part of that server I'd have quit after all that. Without a second thought. Props to you for also wanting to possibly lose EVERYTHING else you worked for just to try a boss version of the thing that took the other half of your tames. But, I don't think I'd enjoy that. Others would, and could, disagree but this is my opinion.
