I'm excited for this one too. Even when they might not be a perfect collection I'm still really encouraged when DC actually puts out a deluxe edition featuring a character like Adam Strange. Hope we see more.

There has been a pre order on Amazon for SGT rock, “between hell and a hard place” for like three years now. Not sure if they forgot about it, but I’ve been waiting. A SGT rock Omni would be fantastic.

The only silver age book I can read is Adam strange, it just reminds me so much of Flash Gordon, and that 50s atomic age future. If you love the fallout games, you'll probably enjoy them 🤷

Sweet, I'm looking forward to reading that first mini for the first time and can't wait to read Planet Heist again, that mini is amazing and another great lead in to Infinite Crisis.

@fishin4bass2002 Agreed, everything line wide just clicked really well leading up to Infinite Crisis. Probably the last big event that I thoroughly enjoyed. I've liked a few others like Final Crisis and Blackest Night but those felt more contained to what Morrison and Johns were specifically doing, the crossovers and extra minis weren't hugely appealing.

@fishin4bass2002 Yeah, I think Final Crisis is a much better read if you just stick with Morrison and some of the breadcrumbs they left in previous series. The funny thing is that I actually liked Countdown and the tie-ins but it doesn't sync up hardly at all with Morrison.

I’d recommend reading some of the older stuff instead, honestly; Yes, King generally makes his stories new reader friendly, but usually his characterizations [imo at least] don’t match the original characters, and usually are morphed/changed to fit the theme he wants the story to convey. The stories are good on their own in a vacuum, absolutely, [which is probably why his stories with C/B-list heroes are more critically acclaimed than his A-list ones. A lot less people know about characters like Mr Miracle or Adam Strange, than say Batman or Wally West, and how they originally act/talk] but there’s a reason a lot of his stories tend to make og fans of whatever character he’s writing for either confused, upset, or just outright worried about its canonicity. But if you already like his stuff, it’ll def be up your alley. It’s got his usual theming and character conflicts, along with an overarching mystery.😁👍 So if that sounds up your alley, def recommend it.

Man of Two Worlds was my first Adam Strange story I read and really enjoyed it until I read the original Fox/Infantino stories. Then I felt like MOTW kind of took the charm out of the character.

Kind of too bad that they couldn't do an omnibus with all of these stories plus the RT War, plus the pages of 52 that focus on Strange, plus the Countdown to Adventure series...

Read the Ferry run with Infinite crisis and I couldn't get into it. Made this an easy pass.

DC collected editions department makes the weirdest decisions. Man of Two Worlds is TERRIBLE. The Justice League story is ok. Planet Heist is a story I love and has a part to play in Infinite Crisis. Out of all the things to put in deluxe, why would they choose these issues?
