That guy in the background was really enjoying your tests. To me, it sounded like the TLM 103 had a little less low end and was a little smoother on top, while the King Bee had a little more low end and also was a little sharper with a little more sibilance on top, but overall they both sounded really good.

crazy, you're my go-to guy for learning about mixing. And i've been all day reading up and down about the Neumann TLM 103 cause I'm about to buy it, and as I sit here reading and researching - I get a notification that you dropped this. Perfect timing. What f*cks with my head is people saying its too harsh, but I feel like there's always some people saying that about almost every mic on the internet so I'm confused. Anyway, I guess my question is: do you think the TLM 103 can be too harsh for "aggressive" rap? maybe like NF (closest thing I can think of when it comes to style and mix) Would appreciate your thoughts on that Devvon. you see, you see devon, how this shift has benefited you a lot more in terms of revenue instead of burning yourself out trying to be the next star, leave that up to your followers. this has been the discovery of many professionals or self-proclaimed ones. teaching is and has always been the best and fasted way as an experienced person in a field to earn income, yes it is a lot of work but it is not that burn out prone, and the path to success is much more clear, congratulations, I am very happy for you and I wish you well

Tbh single layer vocals doesn't make you notice that much difference .. the difference will be noticed when you do layers and stack those vocals .. that's when the difference builds up enough to the point, that it becomes really noticeable !! . . . But I believe that can be compensated to some extent with good mixing tricks !!

It was with popfilter mounted on Kong Bee I believe. You could restore some higher frequencies without it

I bought the neat king bee and the at2035 (almos same price) for me the king bee is not as clean as other microphones specily if i compare it to the at 2035, also i have the MXL 990 and that microphone is a beast for the price

King Bee was supposed to be $350 when Neat was under Gibson. Gibson went BK so the Neat guys (Yup, Blue mic founder) bought the Neat company back for pennies on the dollar and yet I did not snag a King Bee when you could get one for 100 bucks, now you can't get them and that makes me officially a Jackass.
