At first, I didn't understand what you were doing with the taper cuts for the leather. But then it made perfect sense a few minutes later. Very nice.

You and Leo should do a collab! He could pass on some tips and tricks to work around certain practices you do and save your hand some wear!
@10MinuteWorkshop8 сағат бұрын
Well, I would never compare Leo's injuries to my 'hurty wrist' but he and I do talk and he's been very helpful. 👍

how timely, just before the holidays. I really enjoy these sorts of small project videos. I am hoping you have some videos planned for the bedside table as well?

Nice box - more a tray really - and I like the rounded edges of the lining, though the leather ever so slightly protruding at the ends would annoy me. I'd skive it a little before gluing in so it lines up nicely with the wood.

I would have described it as "Deeply imbued with character." Thanks for the tip on scalloping the side to accept the leather.

Attractive design and making clearly explained. Raw timber to finished article without a planer/thicknesses is impressive workmanship. Thank you. I am not sure were those “many mistakes” are! I do wonder why the table saw blade burnt the wood towards the end of the angled cut given the feed rate seemed uniform.
@10MinuteWorkshop24 минут бұрын
Thanks! Re the scorching, I just lined up the jig on the sliding table by eye, though it may just need a new blade! 👍

Idea for video, where do we source various woods, walnut and more exotic woods in the uk for an ”affordable” price

Very nice. Any chance you could do a vid making a case for a power tool (so many come in just a cardboard box)?
@10MinuteWorkshop7 сағат бұрын
Thank you! I think someone has done a wooden systainer already! Trouble with wooden cases is that they tend to be quite heavy, but an interesting idea, thanks! 👍

is that the BOW extended fence? How does it work on the SYS50
@dougsaunders81099 сағат бұрын
Bench dogs I think. Peter talked in a earlier video about it
@10MinuteWorkshop8 сағат бұрын
Yes, it was just resting on the saw; I though I may have needed it for the plywood but didn't in the end. I mentioned it in passing in the Sacrificial strip video. WOrks well with the SYS50, but is very heavy. 👍
