Nebanda Death: Doctors Onzivua and Baryomunsi acquitted

Chief Magistrate Olivia Kazaarwe said in her ruling that the state failed to provide enough evidence to pin the accused persons. The lawyers for the accused now say they are taking the state to court to challenge the way the state handled their clients and are also seeking compensation for the time their clients wasted in court. Dr. Onzivuwa was charged with unlawfully obtaining body samples from the late Butaleja woman MP Cerinah Nebanda and abuse of office. He reportedly connived with Baryomunsi. He was arrested on December 18th 2012 at Entebbe airport as he tried to take the Late Nebanda's samples to South Africa for a forensic examination.
