I have about 7 Nebo flashlights, including the 2k SlydeKing and the 6k Redline. Have had them for about 4 years. I keep them all charged up and behind my pillow for anything that goes bump in the middle of the night. They've never failed and been good for what they cost. Sure, they not Imalent, Surefire, Olight, or Streamlight, but they don't cost $300-$900 either. The best thing about the 2k SlydeKing is the ability to focus down to a tight beam for greater throw. The 6k Redline cannot tighten down as much but can flood an area competently. The SlydeKing has a flood light work light which is very useful and the red flood works great in saving your night vision as well as a signal or warning light in the flash mode. The Redline has good power with 3 power modes and strobe feature. The low power is good for lighting up a trail to find your way back while conserving the power. Nebo seems to be experimenting with designs and features as I have their DaVinci 5k with smooth barrel and 5k DaVinci with paneled non slip grip barrel. Both 5k DaVinci's use a tail power switch which is not very convenient when utilizing the Harris Technique for gripping a flashlight in one hand while aiming a pistol in the other hand. So when I got their 12k DaVinci, the on/off button was back right behind the bulb compartment with a paneled non slip grip. Overall I've been happy with my Nebos and have not had to replace batteries yet. Nothing has failed and I'll buy again. One suggestion, the 2k Slydeking's wrist strap uses a very thin nylon cord. I always reinforce all th3 Nebo wrist cords with a thicker paracord wrapping around the original wrist cord. The SlydeKing cord hole is really small so I cut a piece of 50 pound mono fishing line to poke through a and use it to make a loop to pull the paracord through, then pull thr original wrist cord through so I coukd reinforce each other.

I never bother with the wrist cords on any of mine. I have many nebo flash lights and I love them all, they’re a good quality brand without the high end price tag (for the most part) Not sure if you’ve seen it yet but they released their new Mini Larry 500 recently. I just picked one up a few weeks ago and I’ve been durability testing it at work. New video should be coming soon, stay tuned!

7:30 is all i needed to know. I've had the Slyde King for a year and love it! I seen the 6k at my local hardware store and wondered if it was worth it. I have a big yard and huskies. I like to be able to see them when they're out at night.

Today I went to Batteries and Bulbs to purchase a rechargeable battery for a old flashlight, but they run out of the particular battery. I Inquired about those really high beam type flashlights that are advertised on TV ads; the employee showed me a few brands but the one he recommended was the Nebo Slyde King 2K. after he gave me a presentation I was sold. I said lets do this and I purchased it; now I'm at work charging it for use later tonight.

Just bought the Slyde king 2k today. I’ve been using a stream light station for years and love it! This new light is way brighter!! Used it tonight to take our dog out. We live in the country with no light but the moon at night. This was like having my headlights on. Love it!!! What holster did you show in the video? Even though you said it was a tight fit, would like to check it out. Thanks

I have the original slyde mossy oak edition. That’s actually what inspired me to get the modern rechargeable version. My dad had gotten it from ace hardware for me for Christmas probably close to 10 years ago. It took 6 AAA batteries. Wasn’t that bright, battery life sucked and you had to toggle the slide with the button but I loved it. It got left outside for a few weeks and when I found it, it was 6 inches under water in a puddle. Best flash light I ever owned. Still works to this day but it’s now just a desk ornament as the modern versions are just much more practical.
