These fake fans are pissing me off. All they're doing is crying about the season and acting like the team regressed since Scott Frost. Shut up you band wagon crash outs. We've been losing for 25 years changing out a coach ever 3 years took us from what we had with Bo Pelini to us trying to recapture the "spark". Grow up and realize this won't change overnight. Like how are people forgetting this is the first season we *BEAT* Wisconsin since joining the Big 10. Bo Pelini's Kryptonite. I rock with this coach. He's a man of standard and he's forming the next generation of men.

This was a good interview I can feel the energy coming back to this program and they have to keep recruiting at a high level all across the country don't get stuck in no one area did offensive coordinator his resume speaks for itself but he cannot become one-dimensional on offense yes you take what defense is give you but you keep a balanced attack running past is balance that keeps a defense on his toes but if you go one dimensional the defensive finally shut you down and if you throw in the ball you end up throwing a lot of interceptions 9 times out of 10 you have to have a balanced attack if you want to be that team to playing championships and you have to have a strong offensive line and defensive line key players running backs the better the greater defenses are in trouble they got an offensive line that's moving people they just recruited a really good wide receiver know if they can at least get another one and play them on the opposite side of the field and switch them up rotating them on both sides of the field having that dual threat in the passing game would be deadly would a really good running game

With unlimited staff, I would have a new position called NIL Coordinator. He would have a staff of twenty with the soul purpose of identifying the best experienced college players in the country and trying to get then to come to Nebraska. They would cherry pick from the final four playoff teams. I love developing players, but todays developed players are professional free agents . Coach Rhule knows this first hand.

If Foley is still the Special teams coach Rhule could care less about Nebraska- just enabling his buddies- see Callahan /Cosgrove, Riley/Banker.
@HugelmangАй бұрын
Special teams definitely improved but it’s more likely they go out and buy a high level snapper, punter, returner
@HuskersheaАй бұрын
@@Hugelmang IMPROVED????!!! That was one of the worst units I've seen in 30 years. The kicker did improve but that is not the coach. The majority of special teams is based on blocking schemes and beating the other teams blocking scheme to get a tackle (kickoff and punt). Those units were trash. Watch Iowa's ST and you see a unit that is 110% focused on making a difference and maximizing their chances. That is coaching. A good coach will take your long snapper that was terrible at the beginning of the year and work with them to make them improve by the end, I saw no improvement at all there. We fair caught balls with 10-15 yards of cushion at times, we caught a ball at the one and stepped out of bounds, we failed to call people off on the Iowa punt, fair caught balls inside the 10-yard line, etc. These are just bone headed plays that a well-coached unit should NEVER do. It should be repeated to them so much from the first day of practice that it would be like you or me running a red light at 80 mph, just stupid. Missed FG's and punts happen from time to time and that's not necessarily on the coach, but getting MULTIPLE kicks blocked is definitely on the coaching for that unit. I'm telling you if Foley is still the ST coach next season it will cost us games.

Why is Foley still employed! We lost Iowa due to special teams. How many games have we lost do to our inept offense? Why was Satterfield originally hired since he has never been good anywhere? Why was Simms brought in as qb last year with a history of turnovers? I do question Rhule's decision making?
@quick5387Ай бұрын
players making a big mistake and a coach making a big mistake are 2 different things. He did kind of shitty all year but i think that’s mostly execution from young players. Don’t think it’s enough to call for his job.

@@jdp0359 yeah this quick guy doesn't understand what he's saying. See my above reply to Hugelmang's comment. I'm with you on Foley. I am concerned also that Dana said when he saw the offensive playbook it was just huge and no identity or direction, just random plays and some that weren't practiced. Concepts that made no sense. That worries me about Rhule's trust in his guys. This league requires serious proven coaches in order to rise to the top, not guys that are developing. If Rhule really wants to be the CEO type head coach he'd better have 3 coordinators (including ST) that have serious credentials and experience.
