ACC biased ABC announcers REALLY had a difficult time giving any props to the Huskers. The interviews by that woman with no hair were bizarre, she's not a volleyball person, just an ABC female announcer that has no clue. At the end of the match, after the Huskers just b**** slapped the #4 ranked team in a not even competitive match, on their home court, the best the announcers could do was say Louisville had a bad game. Zero kudos to Nebraska. ABC has a long way to go in covering women college volleyball.

It was great to see network coverage, but I agree on the sideline reporter...just bad.

To be fair, Louisville did have 25 hitting errors and 7 service errors. They spotted the Huskers 32 points. If they had kept the ball within the field of play, they might have had a chance to turn some of those uncontested points into scores for their side. Even a 25% conversion would have given the Cards 8 more scores and helped them win at least one set. Louisville did have more kills than NU with 39 vs 36. However, the Huskers did have 7 aces vs Louisville 0, and Nebraska had 9 blocks while the Cards only had 4. Nebraska played a cleaner and more well-balanced match than Louisville, and that should not be overlooked.

@cliveklg7739 True, but it is very rare to see a team as good as Louisville committing 25 hitting errors in 3 sets. Missing/Shanking digs because of NU's serve and in system offense I can understand, but not the hitting errors. At least not to that extent. I'm from Nebraska and root for the Huskers, but as much as I would like to say all these errors were because of NU's serve pass and hitting, the odds of that being the case against a top 10 opponent is low. Unless we're thinking Louisville is highly overrated now.

What do you base this on? I imagine Cook puts out the best mix of players based on hours of practice. I don't think even what we have seen in games would put Taylor ahead of Lindsey.

@@danrose3233i also imagine that if a player is struggling within 2 sets hitting at a low percentage having less then 4 kills from TWO SETS during multiple matches.. you would think you would use your benches. taylor is just a different and more dominant hitter than lindsay, not only does taylor get more kills in a set than lindsay does from a whole game taylor’s swing is just more difficult to receive

let me add on that taylor recorded 6 kills in ONE SET, while lindsay had 4 kills hitting negative from the first two sets!! i love lindsay always will but taylor needs to start

That's literally what Nebraska does to everyone. They play elite defense and suffocate you with blocking and very aggressive serves. Forcing you to have to think so much, be so accurate at the line and fight off so many rallies that you are significantly more likely to end up making an error before you are able to get the ball down for a point. That is a significant hallmark of the program under Cook. Unless you can do what Texas did against this group and serve with pinpoint accuracy or just block literally everything like Wisconsin does every so often, you are probably going to struggle against Nebraska. And you are going to look bad doing it.
