Today we are going to put the Weapons Pod variant nebula class against the USS Voyager (Canon) and the USS Defiant.
The USS Voyager has all of the upgrades it acquired on it's journey home, minus the Future Armour.
Will Janeway make good use of the Tri-Cobalts?
Played in Star Trek Bridge Commander Remastered UE17.

1:44 To be fair, she used them up because firing them at the Caretaker's array was the only way to ensure an explosion large enough to blow open a hole into subspace, so her cloaked ally could salvage the array's reactor, by pushing it secretly into subspace, for future research into tetryon slingshot technology, possibly with the end goal of full scale Federation expansion into the Delta Quadrant. Or so I've heard. Seriously, though, it was the only way to destroy the array without using significantly more than two torpedoes. Remember, this was before they discovered that Voyager can just regrow those or whatever.

It is, that class of ship probably sits somewhere between an excelsior and ambassador in terms of firepower

Voyager was always the odd one out to me as far as the 'series flagships' go - it has the look of a cruiser but seems to be armed more like a scout. It's a beautiful ship but the amount it struggled against the common Kazon tactic of fighter waves (the same fighters we know can be outclassed by a standard Starfleet shuttle) was kind of embarrassing when you consider how in a few years the rest of Starfleet would be slugging it out with Dominion Warships. Though I guess you could argue that a big part of the problem was Janeway's reluctance to actually destroy them - very often in the Kazon battles you see Voyager heavily damage them in 1-2 hits and then just allow them to limp away.

We're really getting a lot of Janeway and each time, she seems to be fighting like the enemy ship has stolen her coffee. I do find it curious as to why Voyager had tri-cobalt warheads on board. It's overkill if you're going after Chakotay's Maquis cell. Maybe Seven was right about the Voyager Conspiracy. Also, imagine what would've happened if Janeway was in the Dominion war and was given unlimited access to quantum torpedoes and a more generous supply of tri-cobalts. I think by the end of week 1, Janeway would've been so sick of ration coffee she'd have infiltrated Cardassian space, glassed Cardassia, captured the Founder and Dukat and forced peace by phaser rifle point.

This is a good one to scale, realistically the defiant alone should be able to beat a nebula class, it’s type 12 phase cannons alone should allow it to do VERY well. Though if they can keep the defiant at a distance, the cannons will do much less damage than the phasers of the nebula

Videos like these really highlight to me what an amazing fighting force these ships would be together... Thinking of this video and also the last video: imagine a combo of a sovereign class, a Voyager a class, a defiant, and a nebula class... What a wonderful collection of skills and abilities! I shall consider it one of our greatest Injustice that we never actually got to see something like this on screen during the TNG DS9 Voyager era.

I think it was established that Tri Cobalt's are technically wrecking torpedoes. They only do damage if the target has no shields.

😨Oh crikey Admiral.. love the Nebula, looks amazing this one, and eeh.. 1:30 hmm Voyager lost the Aero Shuttle, well they never used it anyway lol. ouch.. eeeh Admiral.. lol at 1:57 a bit of Mariner came out lol wow one Tri-Cobalt gosh.. lol Janeway used up the Tri-Cobalts, but somehow lol unlimited photons hmm. lol Also, Q in Voy and TNG, so was built during TNG after Ent D, from what that Admiral said.. lol 😂the Putty cat lol oh gosh Amiral.. wonder if the Species humanoids do the same that would be good lol Gosh this was a battle, and Voyager won, funny in the show, eeeh nice Tactics Admiral.. and Harry did his best about the shields lol.. love the battle!!!😊🖖

The Nebula wouldn't stand a chance. I didn't know how you'd try the other way, but that was impressive how the upgraded Voyager could take out a Nebula and Defiant.

Once studied, Voyager's upgrades should be installed on all Intrepid class's. They'd be one HELL of a cruiser then, and definitely bumped up to heavy cruiser status. Great battle!

Seems unrealistic. A Nebula class ship, even the ones seen fighting during the dominion war, were meant mostly for exploration. They weren’t completely toothless as I’d put them at slightly below a Galaxy class when it comes to firepower but Voyager and Defiant were considered pretty advanced for the Federation when they were initially introduced. And their designs were at least a good five to eight years newer. I doubt that the Nebula would be able to take on either one of them alone and she unfortunately wouldn’t last more than a minute if they decided to work together. Still a good video as always though.

I don’t play this game, but I’m very confused because the nebula was from the 2350s and both the intrepid and the defiant one from the 2370s so it seems that the nebula would get ass kicked. I don’t understand even if it’s a torpedo boat we’re talking 20 years difference in terms of technology, especially if you’re saying that voyager has the same tech they came back with that seems like the nebula was always always gonna lose. Again I don’t play the games I just going with what I know about the ships

Intrepid phasers and shields seem imbalanced and I get that for the Nebula being an older more peace time ship as specced but the defiant seems a little underwhelming by comparison. An equivalent era nebula would need some serious improvements.

A Nebula class ship would not stand a chance against the Defiant on its own. I DS9 the Defiant took several minutes of fire from a Vor'cha and 2 Bops with it's SHIELDS DOWN!

I think this version of Voyager is way more accurate. The Intrepid Class seems to be quite weak in this game normally. Voyager in particular should be way stronger. Seven had enough time to upgrade it. Enhanced deflector shields with Borg technology and so on. It would be interesting to see how the Biomolecular warheads and the Borg armor from "Scorpion" would do in a fight against others ships and species. Not only species 8472. Especially the high yield-warhead which destroyed a lot of bio-ships in that episode.
