Mines coming next week but didn't know backpack was like that rubber really it's like something had to go wrong so in my book it's worth buying it because of the jacket but it's 75% good just cause of the backpack

I would've preferred including the trench coat, fedora hat and backpack accessories with the first release of the Raphael figure and left out the baseball bat accessory. It would've been alot more easier to do it that way instead and the double sai, pizza slice, trench coat, fedora hat and backpack accessories and two open hands and two gripping hands would've been plenty enough for the figure.

Nice Review. I guess I didn't read the pre-order contents properly cos I was so expecting the New York Post newspaper. The newspaper was displayed with Raph at SDCC 2017. Pixel Dan interviewed Randy from Neca & even he said the figure was coming with the newspaper. I am really dissapointed as I was going to display Raph with the paper.I know it's only a small thing to complain about but it seems such an easy accessory to include. I'll forgive the molded backpack only cos it's not as visible but Neca should have included the newspaper as promised.

Yes it is. The only real difference is the lack of additional hands

It really comes down to the accessories being honest. The upside to the regular raph is the extra hands, other than that I don't see much difference. At first glance the head looks different slightly, but I can't decide if its a different head or not.

So great question! And thank you for stopping by! I think Raphael in Disguise is a better purchase but has a drawback. He doesnt come with as many hands, now that isn't such a big problem because the other Turtles has plenty of extra hands. I mean personally if I had to choose, I would go with the Disguise as it is the same figure. Same exact size and scale as the regular release. Yous till get pizza and sai's. I hope this helps you out!

Nope. And why should they? Raphs was the only one who appeared in disguise or anything. But they're bringing Shredder and a foot soldier

You are very welcome. All the hands are interchangeable with other turtles which is nice. I consider this a bonus figure not necessary for the collection unless you a) are a competitionist and b) want something different to take pictures with and on a shelf. I know these guys are not cheap so its kind of hard to decide.

It's a waste when NECA comes out with another version so close to the original production. It makes buyers apprehensive on collecting the remainders because they may get burned again if Leo comes out twice also. I got the first Raf, but then waited on the rest because I rather a second version of the turtles with additional accessories. Bad move on NECA.

I can understand everything you are saying. At first I was in the same boat, but then I looked at it from NECA's side. They saw third party companies releasing these accessories and wanted the money. They already had the mold for the figure, and I am sure the new tooling for the props wasn't that much, so they offered those for people who wanted it. It would have been great if they had included these things in the beginning, but alas they did not. Just my opinion. Appreciate your thoughts on it. I don't get things for free and I don't make a ton of money, I just review things based on what I buy.
