I just got this figure today and I absolutely love him, he's good and hearty so I can be a little rough with him and I didn't really find any issues with the figure. NECA is a really good choice for quality and a price that won't kill your wallet.

Yeah, I think I got a newer version of the figure literally yesterday. It's extremely stiff, but none of the ball joints pop off at all. Still a great figure overall. Up next is a shin Godzilla figure

I have a Jesus idea. Remember a toy line of Godzilla figures made by Trendmasters? They modified the designs of the monsters to make them more awesome looking. You know how NECA remastered old Predator toys made by Kenner? What if NECA remasters Trendmasters Godzilla?!!! If that would happen I would be blown away.

I was lucky to find this Godzilla figure at one of my local Wal-Mart stores where I live and bought it for 18.00. I chose to get this figure first over the Godzilla 2014 figure they had at Wal-Mart as well because It was the last one they had in stock and the women who was assisting me let me know they wouldn't be getting anymore Godzilla figures in stock after the current figures they had sold out. I'm really pleased with this figure and it looks great with my figure collection. Of course I'm never open it though. :)

cool video shartimus not a bad looking figure i have the bandai version of him so ima hold out for the 1985 godzilla whenever that one comes out and the 1954 and the burning godzilla i really love what necas doing with this line these are incredible i still want the 12 inch 2014 godzilla too still havent been able to find him but hopefully i will soon anyway keep up the awesome videos

Well, it is not so acurate, there are big diferences between the figure and he suit used in the movie, but it works perfectly as an universal heisei godzilla, and for the price, it is very good. Im allso very surprised with the articulation.

That's Godzilla's name in Kanji. Or if you prefer...his original Japanese name Gojira. His Japanese name is a combination of the Japanese words Gorira (gorilla) and kujira (whale)

If you get another figure you should heat it up in hot water or use a hair dryer to soften the plastic and it'll pop right in ( I would recommend the hair dryer cus it's faster and better).

To me, it looks a lot like the 89 version of Godzilla, which makes me want an actual figure of the 89 Godzilla. I also want a GMK figure of Godzilla as well. It wouldn't matter whether they're from NECA or monsterarts. I just really want a good looking figure of both of those because they're my favorite.

Do you own any of the SHMA figures? I have the SHMA 1995 Godzilla figure and it's fucking amazing. The quality, the detail. It really looks like a minature version of the real Godzilla from Godzilla vs Destroyah. The joints are much more flexible. The NECA figures dont come close to SHMA. Paid 140 bucks for my Big G and he's def worth it. Im planning to get Godzilla Junior and also Junior in his adult stage from 2002, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla. Cant wait.

They need to make the 1994 American Godzilla 😑 They could still make the movie and shit. They should keep everything written no changes. And say this is the second Godzilla that dies in 2014 in the cave were the big skeleton is. But I was hoping they could remake 1994American same skits and shit and maybe keep the cgi how it was going to be made. I would of loved there being a gyrphon and Godzilla 1994 instead of that zilla shit.

I might try taking the head off, adding just a bit of glue on to the ball joint, letting it dry, then pop its head back on. Not sure if it'll work but at this point I'm ready to take a gamble.

bunnyfreakz You must be kidding, I can understand people have budgets so this is the best they can do but quality wise there's no comparison. The sculpt is 10x better, the attention to detail, poseability is top notch. I mean come on just look at the still image of G's face they make him look derpy, they also designed the character where he looks hairy, not Godzilla. Here's the thing if your looking for a close to screen accurate poseable figure that looks great and your looking more to display in multiple poses then SH is the way to go. If you want figure that you or your children can toss around go with the NECA, just be sure to leave the tail off it as it can be a choking hazard (yeah the tail falls off a lot). Slightly better is a poor description of a superior product, theres a reason why there's a demand for SH and you'll find NECA products warming the pegs. Like I said I get the budget aspect justifying the purchase but not at the expense of degrading a superior product.

@jestermon1 it's a figure of speech not to be taken literal. It attests to the fact that in the after market these just don't hold up. Factor in the limited quantities due to being imported these figures (monsterarts) will still be more sought out. Yes they have a high price point but they're worth it, IMO. But there accuracy is that much closer, they command a higher price point. Maybe I'm extremely lucky but out of 22 pieces I've only returned 2 due to QC issues (Alien Warrior & Battra). Do you honestly believe I don't watch reviewers? I never comment on these things because I know I'll run into certain individuals who have a lot of assumptions. So I completely take the blame, but no matter how you cut it NECA 2014 Godzilla sure does make a good door jam.

Not that I'm being a 'Trollinator' but also surely then like the SH Monsterarts - they could have given perhaps a few accessories such as some mini JSDF weapons or Freezing Masers or likewise an UBER SPIRAL RAY BEAM ... that might bump the price up BUT still surely it would be a respectable price and not as 'COLOSSAL' in terms of price compared to SH Monsterarts ...

This figure look ugly as hell when the month is open(like on this YT thumbnail). Heisei Goji's mouth don't open that wide. When you close its mouth and view at other angles, its more closer to movie version. SHMonsterarts version however still look accurate to movie when the mouth is open. Short tail in Neca version isn't helping either.
