Aliens is 100% horror. Transfer the movies to earth instead of space, and it's a horror. Monsters stalking humans. Just because the settings a space ship doesn't negate the horror elements and makes it strictly a sci fi

Actually they also put Alien figures inside the scifi boxes, so maybe NECA also kind of consider them as scifi/horror

@@bbrradd1 I totally understand what you're saying. But that was just my own opinion and feeling about the genre. Just like I really don't consider Gremlins a horror movie, but a lot of people would. I feel like the first alien movie was more of a horror sci-fi, but I feel like a lot of the sequels we're more of like a Sci-Fi Action, I'm not saying there was anything wrong with the movies I just personally couldn't get into them.

@@dirtydeedreviews that's so true! I was also replying to the comment who thinks that aliens were mainly horror if that's what he considers it to be. Cause I bought one scifi box and got the cougar alien and mostly gargoyles! That box stinks so bad!

Ordered a sci-fi box and ended up with a bunch of Disney gargoyle figures. No box was mint, each one had large tears or were smashed. Wish I got a box like this one.

@@Njen9 that sounds a lot like my first Mystery Box from NECA, you should check out that video. If I remember correctly I think all the boxes had the hangars teared. What everybody's telling me is the first set of mystery boxes they sent out where returns and store damages and these recent ones are Warehouse overstock.

Yep, I ordered my box six weeks ago and it arrived last Friday, the contents is identical to yours. The box is labeled NE01820 BOX 3. I'm happy to get the Chucky/Tiffany two pack and Annabel cloth figures because they're roughly 1/6 scale so I can add them to my Sideshow collection. I don't have most of the Alien figures except for the prototype. The 1/10 scale Annabel can pair with the Nun figure. I really like the GITD Wolfman figure for some reason. Pennywise will go to my Niece. The one thing I really didn't want to get was the big headed Rob Z Munsters. All the other figures I already have. I was hoping to get something Jason/ Freddy/Meyers/ or Ash which I don't have a single Neca figure of. I also have the B&W Mummy but needed the color version to match all my other Univ. Neca figures. I kind of want to get another box but I have a feeling I'll get more duplicates or the same box again. At least I got 14 items and not less. BTW, check your box for the GITD Wolfman's stand, mine was loose under a cardboard flap. It's necessary for the figure to stand. Also, it looks like your cloth Pennywise is missing the ruffled collar. Great video, thanks for sharing!

@TitanShadow that's exactly what my boxes said box 3 and box 4 with the numbers before. That's what made me think they probably sent me the wrong boxes, I was paranoid since I purchased them so long ago and they changed the value of the mystery boxes on their website from 500.00 worth. I'm glad you got some of the figures you wanted! I also like the Chucky and Tiffany 2pack, I'm more of a child's play fan but I think the cloth figures looked great! It's funny that you mentioned the stand I broke down the cardboard box they were shipped in and I seen a little black Circle Fallout when I was putting it in the trash bag, and I figured it must have been a stand glad I didn't throw it away. I've noticed they mix Sci fi with 2 other boxes Fantasy/Sci Fi and Horror/Sci fi so they can use the tremendous overstock of Aliens stuff in both boxes as filler items.

Good video. From what I'm hearing, the first batch of boxes were all retailer returns. Neca has gone through all those and now the latest round of figures are all slow sellers/dead stock pulled straight from Neca's warehouse.

@maxstone6953 I think I have a video up of my collection. No I bought them for collecting not for resale it just so happens that most of these were either duplicates of ones already have, such as the universal monsters. I am more into Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween and their Gremlin line. If you're referring to the price check part of my video I was just doing that to show that you do or don't get the value they say.

@dirtydeedreviews Not a knock , it's just that when you mentioned you haven't seen both Alien and the Thing , I just assumed horror wasn't your bag, being that these two movies would make most horror fans top 50 and more than likely top 10. I'm pretty sure the 500 dollar value means what NECA would be selling them for normally on their site. They wouldn't use another sellers price as value.

@@gerdmatt7 you're right they're going to base their price at what they value it at. I did the price check just to compare with the two cheapest places I know a lot of people get them from. And like I said I think they are well worth what you pay for them.

You need to check for MSRP or retail prices from Walmart or Target. That’s where you would base the pricing on these.

@andrewweaver5594 I think the boxes are well worth what they're selling them for No Doubt. I even said that in the video. I used Amazon and AliExpress cuz those are the cheapest places that I'm aware of, so I think a lot of people will look for deals and try to buy the cheapest price, so that's why I was comparing those. I think we all know the normal value that all the main retail stores and NECA sell them for a single figure typically 35 to $40 unless it's a larger figure or 2pack which is typically 50 to 60 usd.

And you're talking about the nun movie in your like I don't remember the name of the movies that The nun was. In. When it clearly says on the top of the box The conjuring universe. I just can't believe people collect things that they have no clue about that is ridiculous. 😂

@8bztheviking.officialmusic203 I don't collect those figures I said that in the video LOL. And I've watched a lot of horror movies I can't remember everything, but yes The Conjuring slipped my mind. But I assure you I've seen those movies and annabelle. I've actually done a video in the past with my collection. Most of the horror movies I'm into are from the 1950s to the 1990s, that's why I collect the universal monsters, and things like Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. The first annabelle you took out as well as the IT and the bride of Chucky 2 pack is the clothed bigger scale Neca figs they do and the other annabelle with the flap box is more in line with the ultimate scale

@@andrewhizer8886 I ordered these back on December 17th and the 21st before there was any 400 or $200 boxes it was the $500 value boxes then. Took them 6 weeks to ship items they said they had in stock LOL.

@@dirtydeedreviews It's fine to change the content amount for orders after they changed their listing but, for people who ordered when they were listed as a $500 value, they should have sent the same amount as the earlier blind box purchasers. They did send 14 items so, they meet the same number of items as those earlier purchases. I just feel a lot of the earlier Blind Boxes often had a better mix of stuff. At least we didn't get 10 figures like some are now getting for their $500 value boxes.

Good haul these seem good if your getting into neca figs but have only got a few. I’d consider Aliens and Predator sci fi horror so still horror definite overlap with the sci fi boxes for sure

@weeold I definitely agree with you on the Sci-Fi horror. I've noticed people getting mad at me on here for saying I don't consider those horror. it's just my opinion guys it's okay, LOL but for sure it could go either way.

@e.j.o.3991 December 17th and the 21st is when I ordered both of them. One was supposed to arrive before Christmas the other said by the 31st of December. Took them 6 weeks to finally ship, I've been emailing NECA for a couple weeks, the last email they sent me said that it could take up to 10 weeks. They did offer to cancel and refund my money if I didn't want to wait.

The sci-fi/fantasy boxes were practically half gargoyles for quite some time. The new sci-fi boxes seem to not have any gargoyles

@@Do_i_amuse_you the only box that you're guaranteed to get what you want is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Box. That's why they sold out so quick. They wouldn't dare do that with any other boxes cuz they wouldn't be able to get rid of their junk LOL mystery boxes are addicting, I almost want to buy more even though I know I won't get anything I collect. They should do like a Golden Ticket item in each box to make it more exciting lol

@@dirtydeedreviews TMNT boxes are definitely the most reliable out of them all. Pop culture and sci-fi seen the most random. Although the new sci-fi boxes don’t have any gargoyles, the original ones were half gargoyles!
