I really need this one. This is the quintessential werewolf movie. The transformation scene alone makes this movie a classic. Also, love the wolf eating that Legends Hood figure. That is great stuff.

Dog Soldiers is a great film, not just in the UK.

It's a well done figure, but, it does suffer from the same over-articulation issues that the Gremlins did. I posed mine straight out of the box and the joints all seemed tight. Then, the other day, an elbow joint spontaneously gave and the creature sagged. I had to run superglue into the joint before I could get it standing properly again. It should be ok now and I'm certainly not going to touch it again for a while. I've only had it just shy of a week too. One to handle with kid gloves. Pose it and leave it.

I like that you're building your werewolf army. the kessler tells a story alongside the others. It looks to me that you could use the kessler werewolf as their pet.

Basketcase was one of the most terrifying movies for me as a kid and the Belial creature gave me nightmares for years. I now love the movie of course and laugh at how cheesy it is. Perhaps that's why I also love Boglins because they remind me of Belial. I only saw American Werewolf in London once and that transformation scene is very memorable. This figure is incredible looking and if I see it, I'll probably pick it up.

I think one of the things that made An American Werewolf In London a good movie was that the main protagonist was sympathetic and you felt bad for his predicament and great special effects

The Kessler wolf is much more stunning than the nightmare figures. The nightmare figures are cool and do look good, but the Kessler wolf steals the show. You kind of blew through the review of the wolf too. I ordered 20 of the Kessler wolf and after seeing this, am glad I did as I expected it to look this good. The cost of articulating the jaw and having to deal with the affects of gravity on the jaw hinge after its been moved up and down too many times where it wouldn’t stay closed; is why NECA provides the alternate head. If you’ve ever seen a real wild wolf or coyote, it’s not uncommon to see ribs.

I can't honestly say that any werewolf I've seen since AWiL had a better transformation scene or looked better as a finished creature. The era of CGI werewolves ruined the sub genre pretty completely.

It’s more of a classic than a cult film. Basket case is definitely a cult film. American Werewolf won an a academy award.

In this day and age it’s not far off from basket case. Definitely a big movie back in the day. But tons of movies have won academy awards that are loooong forgotten especially in makeup etc
