I love MBV '81 and while I have the SF cloth figure, this one looks too cool to pass up. Great Easter egg of having of the helmet & mask to come off and show the face from the old theatrical poster!

I was thinking that too, wouldn't involve much retooling on NECA's part either, it would great if it came with maybe the Miners head, Jensens and the flash back Harry Warden head, maybe the shovel with the top part of the girls face sitting on it :)

I've always wanted NECA to start making the slashers from the early 2000s movies, I know we have Ghostface but would love if they could do a Ben Willis Fisherman from I Know What you did last Summer, the poncho jacket killer from Urban Legends which they could really just re use the body from the Thing SDCC Poster figure, a Cupid from Valentine, maybe the wax mask Killer from House of Wax...yes please!

I would have liked the crushed arm as a swappable piece, maybe some Valentines Cards thrown in there also. Oh are you a big Prowler fan? yeah I think he could make for a pretty interesting figure, not sure if he's considered a bit more obscure for NECA to want to tackle?

oh no? you never thought of Leatherface as being a slasher, I guess more because TCM is a slow burning study of human slipping into insanity and less a hack and slash kind of movie, but I guess from a merchandise standpoint I usually think of Leather right up there with Freddy, Jason, Michael. Thanks for coming by and watching the review, and the comment on the opening of the packaging, thought about trying something different, and I find its relaxing to cut ties when I'm opening up packaging myself that I thought others might get a kick out of it. Do you think I talk faster in these videos than i used to though?

After you got the packaging out of the way you certainly seemed to talk at lightning speed!😹 But as the video goes on you eased into your classic pace of going over the figure🔥

Don't forget "Billy" from black Christmas . It did come out the same year as Texas chainsaw, and I would consider black Christmas more of a slasher film than Texas chainsaw. But character-wise Leatherface has way more going on than " Billy"

The remake is surprisingly decent but it plays kinda like the remake of Psycho as a scene to scene carbon copy to the original, other than changing the conductor suit to a rather inferior looking generic clown suit, the killer also gets the lizard suit and pretty much the movie just feels like they are checking off the same beat points as the 80s one, but I still liked it, the deaths were decent, I liked the guy they picked for the magician, I think it was much better than I was expecting it would be and a really good killer reveal The Sequel...hmmm, well they shot it like immediately after the first one, probably wanted to get the most out of the sets before they had to destroy them, it doesn't have any of the charm that the remake may have had, its basically bringing back surviving characters to the train for an internet promoted anniversary ride. It feels very empty, the clown suit returns so there's no fun even in that, it felt really like they wanted to push out something while they still had the crew, the sets the costumes. Id watch it to say you've seen it but it doesn't have the little bit of enjoyment that the remake at least had, just felt like it had no soul to it.

I actually prefer this one over the Retro also, the Retro cloth is good because it has the real fabric outfit but if I had the choice to get only one, I'd get the Ultimate myself

Sure have thats a great movie, the gore is pretty tame in it but I really like the look of the Cupid killer, always hoped NECA could release figures based on some of these great slashers of the early 2000s

why can't you open him if you don't mind me asking? it was just a rectangular box release that had the open flap on the top, you wouldn't really ruin the packaging on him
