NECA has kept improving, I will give them that. The inconsistencies in details are a bit annoying but they continue too look better and better. Having my NECA Godzilla's on my desk at work in chronological order, the G'14 figure looks really bad sandwiched between GMK and Shin. As for Shin himself, I have the same problem with the tail.Once you get it into a pose that is stable it will hold it, but there are just poses that the tail is too heavy to hold for the looseness of the ball joints. One of my Shin's wrists were seized and I just left it alone because the wrists are so thin, I didn't want to break it. He does look more imposing than the others, and the tail is huge in comparison tot he others. Overall, don't regret the purchase. Looks awesome on my desk.

Hard to believe but BOOKS-A-MILLION has lots of Godzilla stuff and lots of Korean Chinese and Japanese things so get your Godzilla figure there!

I cut the cheek webbing out of mine and repainted the inside of the mouth to blend, then took the bottom jaw off and shaved out a little of the jaw where it meets the neck so that the mouth can open much wider without bottoming out on the throat. Also put a little hot glue inside each of the tail ball sockets to tighten them up. ALSO took the bendy tip of the tail off and cut a few of the dorsal fins that are at the base and repainted the cut parts to match, this was so the tail could be articulated farther straight up above shins head.. Finally habe the whole figure a matte clear coat to get rid of the sheen.. For a 23 goldar figure it's great, a few easy mods and it's greater than great... I love the shm shin but for the price you can't beat the neca fig

Very good review, I agree on all points. I really like mine and he is fun to pose. The tiny details like muscle fibers in the hands, forearms and shoulders are great. The head is the biggest detractor for me.

It's there right away. It's shown in the art book, it's on the SHMA figures which are from the CGI files, so forth. NECA got it wrong.

What I found is that the SHMA G'14 figure is a tad smaller than the NECA Shin Godzilla. So if anyone wants to do G'14 vs. Shin display they can have that with size accuracy since Shin is not all that bigger than G'14.

i got the neca shin awakening version a long time ago i really didn't pay attention to the details or anything and it's not worth it. It's the exact same figure but just different colors and a different face. It's face is split open as it does when doing it's atomic breath and has two lasers for the mouth and tail. The mouth has a hole where you put the laser in and it fits in there tightly but after you do it after 5 times it wears out the plastic and you can put it in there anymore unless you glue it. So don't buy it.

Some think that the big huge 1 was supposed to roar cause when you take the tale off yes sir indead there's what looks a lot like a battery cover in there. For a few movies there have been some electronic figures. There was 1 for 2000. I think for Tokyo SOS there was 1 too. Remote controlled figures at that. So how accurate does this figure feel? Boddy shae wize? I'm blind so paint job and stuff cool info but meh makes no difference in the world to me. Oh and the thing of the second face on the tale yeah again if you can touch it it would be odd. Cause I now know it's incomplete. But again if it's just a painted thing, no bigy. Other than just the fact that it's incomplete. But yeah. Boddy accuracy is real big for me. Only by touching the dall do I know what each Godzilla looks like so if the figure is kinda wrong than it gives a wrong impression. This was a real problem with the reviled 98 Zilla. The dalls were all over the place. So it's like seriously dude? Which to fully trust? Some had a long iguana tale. Some had some fat to some parts of the tale. Some had more thorns on the tale and some have some strange nubs on the big stego plates on it's sholders. Like come on dude. Make your minds up. So to end that little rant on Zilla dalls I have no concrete idea of what Zilla actually looks like. Like I don't know what if Zilla actually were real and you could touch it what it would actually be shaped like. Which actually I think Zilla was the most friendliest Godzilla thing ever. Sure prep youre ears for the unexpected tornado blast roar like when Nick was taking picktures but other than that, meh you're good.

feathered godzilla Most neca figures are a Lot more accurate than sh monsterarts, also they are a lot cheaper and still has really good articulation, also the neca 2014 godzilla litterlly tells you how to put it on, its your fault if you break it

The body looks fantastic, but the head looks so awful, like a lizard. I prefer the atomic breath Shin Neca over this one because at least it's unique and the beams look cool especially on the tail. Even the Bandai monster series looks much better than this does.
