love all 3 films and in the comics they time travel and fight aliens, the 87 cartoon too so the 3rd seemed to fit well. I've actually met a lot of part 3 fans to my surprise , we're out there lol.I know Kevin Eastman liked it more than part 2. Also, I only collect figures that remind me of good times and that have shows or movies that I liked. The only iterations I never liked were the Saban and concert ones which is why I skipped the concert ones.

Finally, a review of the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 Samurai action figures. I am so getting those figures when they make the 2-pack release at Walmart and when I do, I'm going to see how the head sculpts of the Secret of the Ooze figures look on them. I should still be able to get the face masks and helmets on them. I hope NECA will also have action figures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles made to look like how they had appeared of the third live-action film without the samurai attire and if they do, they'll most likely give the figures the same head sculpts that were given to the figures with the samurai attire. And I also hope NECA will release a movie 3 accessory set too.

I always wondered, what the first 2 movie turtle heads would look like on those bodies. side rant I personally don't care for the time travel plot. Honestly, it could still take place in New York, and not much would change despite the supernatural element. But the thing that bothers me about the film as a part of the trilogy, is pretty much how cheap the film feels and not in a good way. The comparison isn't fair because atleast one of the movie’s i'll mention is clearly trying unlike TMNT 3. it's the production equivalent of me from listening to the 5th Sam Raimi Film Score (Army of Darkness) to Watching Peter Jackson's third Film Score (Deadalive or Brain Dead), the former has a big and legit orchestra, the latter has a keyboard orchestra that tries to imitate a real one, but fail (but to give this movie credit atleast the score was used to it's advantage because of the horror nature of the movie.) you can tell which score had the lower budget. and it's not like I hate lower budget movies, it's just I hate it when a sequel is a downgrade compared to its predecessors.

I feel like the third movie gets more hate than it deserves. It isn’t as good as the first two, IMO, but it’s a cute and fun adventure with some genuine heart and laughs. It’s a decent 90s fun movie that gets judged more by comparison to its predecessors than on its own merits.

@@toomuchnewtoys One thing I like about it is that they tried something totally different instead of just recycling the same ideas from the first two movies. Some stuff was out there…but TMNT itself is waaaay out there, lol. I honestly didn’t even see the third movie until I was an adult. I had always heard that it was so bad that it wasn’t worth watching…and I was so busy with other stuff at the time, that I just didn’t bother with it. So, if I can get into as an adult, I’m sure I would have loved it as a kid.

My take on the 3rd film. It didn't fit the same tone of the first 2 films. They could have explored the origins of the Foot clan / Yamoto clain instead of giving us a distant relative of Casey and some random warlord we didn't care about. It just felt like there were no stakes. Maybe I am wrong, maybe the Yoshi kid was actually a relative of Yamato Yoshi. And if the turtles didn't save him, their existence would have been affected. But I don't think they had a plan like that in place.

The 2nd movie doesn't even fit the same tone of the 1st movie. In many way these movies sort of share a similar pattern to the Batman movies around that time. Parents complained about the dark and violent nature forcing studios cave in to these complaints (which made no sense in the case of the Turtles since that first movie was a huge success due to that more serious and grounded approach) and made a more lighthearted tone in it's place.

When I was barely a child I was absolutely obsessed with all 3 and wore my VHS tape of the third one out with so many watches, at least twice daily for a while.. I always maintained it was an awesome amazing movie thru my teen years without going back to see it til I watched it with friends when i was like 16 and i realized it was hot garbage.. we still enjoyed it as a so bad it's good experience and I still love the samurai armor look and would love to get this set.

The third movie was my favorite, I was 3 when it was released and I probably saw it when I was 5 or 8 and I liked anything that wasn’t set during the present time, and never tried watching it again. I plan on keeping it that way

First movie was the best. It was dark with a giid story line. The second movie was ok, a little goofy but over a fun movie. The third movie was something that was probably ment for direct to home vhs.... i think the biggest issue is they didn't have a proper Villain for that movie and they were using the old turtle suits from the second movie because they didn't have a budget for the film. I think neca killed it becasue in the third movie when they were in the gear, they didn't do alot of ninja stuff anyways.

The third film: The turtles look bad and they are even more corny then in the second one. People being able to sense things as they are happening in the past makes just as little sense as it did in the Mirage comics. April O'Neil is just like in the second film played by the most beautiful actress to have ever played her and it is even better this time since she ends up showing of some legs. The soundtrack is also unironically the best of any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. In the end it is just an okay 5/10 movie.

The movie is bad, but maybe an unpopular opinion here is that I'd rather watch the third one than the second. The second movie has the wonderful work of the Jim Henson company on display and that's about it. It's a dumbed-down kids movie with a barely there plot. The third movie is at least entertainingly bad, to some degree. No, I'm not going to go watch it by choice, but if forced to pick between the two, I'll watch the third movie with it's absolutely awful one-liners and wacky time travel plot. As for this set, it's something I've never wanted, but the collector bug in me got me to preorder it since I already have the first two, might as well get the third. Disappointing to see how limited the articulation is as I was actually hoping the presence of clothes might free NECA up a bit when it comes to the knees and elbows, but I guess not. They'll look fine on a shelf, but definitely a less exciting four-pack compared to the first movie one. As for Keno, I passed on him. There's no way I'm paying 100 bucks for a Keno, moped or not.

The 1st movie was far better than it should have been but you could still see the dudes faces in the turtle mouth. The same flaws are over looked for nostalgia and elevating the movie to heights it didn't actually hit. The 1st one is undeniably flukishly better but after that it was downhill. But 3 was still better than extremely watered down cornball 2. Either way people treating it like it's a trash tier movie is everything wrong with adult man children and how we talk about our ridiculous things we love

Those facets on the hip balls act as detents in the joint. Usually they're pretty helpful getting rigidity to a pose. Too bad the rest of the articulation isn't as well thought out. I got nearly every figure of importance from the first movie so I'm good on Neca Turtle figures, I'm skipping the third movie. Another great review Anthony!
