I'll probably get this anyway, I have 3 versions already, but I'd have kinda liked NECA to go just a bit further in homaging the original HR Giger Necronomicon artwork that originally inspired the Alien. It would have just taken two new pieces: a new head with the rounded black eyes, and a new tail with a bulbous end to it.

finally broke down and got this one and i was wrong..this drone is impressive and i have them in every color from red to bright blue but there is something about the colors on this xeno.its like they tried to replicate how it looked when giger painted it,as seen in his art as opposed to the much darker look of the movie.

Great video. It may be just a repaint but I still bought this version over traditional 40th anniversary big chap and bloody figures. Something about Giger’s work that rings true and I think it’s perfectly captured within this figure. Loved the review dude

Crazy that its really just the same mold as before but by adding the dry brushing the mold just pops on this version of the Xenomorph, this is my favourite of the Big Chap mold we've gotten! thanks for coming by and checking out the video Clay! could you please let me know if you're still able to see my newer videos showing up in your subscription feed? let me know?

Very nice review!!! One thing you did miss with regard to the articulation ( and i am not sure if it is unique to this version) is that the head is not just on a ball joint but it is actually a ball and stick joint. if you tug it upward just a little you will see the stick portion. This will allow you to be able to actually tuck the back of head much further backward and even put it between the top left and right back spikes when you remove the top center one. This can give you more of that lunging pose that is more characteristic of the Aliens warriors. It also allows for increased range to put the head down forward as well. This is far greater articulation for pitching the head back than any other zenomorph that I have purchased. This little extra posabiltiy makes this my favorite version out of all of them. Plus the ratcheting on the thighs into the torso is a great improvement over past versions and will more likely keep those sockets from loosening up over time. Both of these are great improvements by NECA.

I was thinking that Neca could've solved the problem of the back spine protrusion piece by giving it a joint to move down, making it unnecessary to remove it.

I would definitely pick up the Giger Xenomorph, even though I already have 4 other versions. The translucent paint application by itself makes this one a worthy addition to the collection. Otherwise, thanks again Spot!

Not even close to “giger”. In my opinion if u want to sell a giger variant. Atleast make a headsculpt that resembles gigers work. Miles off.
