Holy 😍 this looks eons better paint wise then the original. Those dorsal plates and the gray wash paired with the matte look is worth the price of admission alone.

I really miss Neca's Godzilla range. Considering how expensive the Japanese imports are, this was a great, affordable line without which I would hardly have any Godzilla figures. (I took my Neca '54 with on our trip to Japan in early 2019 and got a photo of him with the Shin Godzilla statue in Tokyo).

I just got this figure this morning at the swap meetAnd when I opened it I tried putting on his tail but my brother said don’t do it or else the tail or somethings going to break so when I got home I warmed of water from the kettle and I put it in there for like two minutes and then I popped it on so yeah it’s a pretty cool figure I recommend it

Missed the original, so might end up picking up this guy! Love the new paint scheme, plus the diorama base, and the atomic breath effect? Not to mention the box! Definitely an improvement over the first version.

Such a lovely figure! I should have bought it when I went Godzilla hunting at FYE, but the Kidrobot Phunny plushie called to me more XD So many people bash NECA (I’ve never owned one, but I’ve seen plenty of reviews) and I honestly don’t understand why. They may not be “top of the line” but they are attractive and well-made. Even the packaging, as I told ShinRobjira, is detailed and created with obvious effort. I’ll have to keep what you said about heating up the tail and limbs in mind when I get a NECA; I keep forgetting that! His profile is beautiful. Love the jaw articulation and how stern it makes him look. Awesome review!

Thank you! I've never quite got the hate either. Sure you definitely gotta be gentle with them sometimes but you just cant beat the price for what you get! I think that Godzilla stuff is a great way to get into NECA! This, burning Godzilla and the GMK just got re-realeased in these awesome packages. Burning Godzilla is definitely up there for me as well! If you live around a target, that’s a great place to start, they have some NECA stuff in the electronics section! If not, there’s tons of places online too. Thanks again for watchin!

I think any rational person prefers the 1954 Godzilla over the 1956 American version. However, I still prefer the '56 poster version of this figure, it just "pops" on the shelf

I wish the people who work for NECA also had a figure made to look like how the second Godzilla had appeared of the 1955 release of Godzilla Raids Again.

Just purchased one love the neca collection but can someone tell me why this figure is hard to find even on ebay I only found 2 people selling this figure

I suspect it’s due to the low print run of this particular Godzilla. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense considering everything other Godzilla figure is pretty easy to find. It’s a bummer he’s so expensive. Even shortly after this video was made he was already expensive. Thanks for checking out my video! -Nate

I have the original release, but I definitely want the packaging to this version and the paint looks much better. I am saddened to learn they didn't put a slot in his mouth for the breath effect though. I've yet to see him in stores though.

The slot is there, I’m just a dummy. In my defense though it is really hard to see. Honestly though, I think this one has already came and went. I remember someone asked BigBadToyStore if they were going to restock and they said NECA had already discontinued it.

I think it did hit stores just in really small quantity. But NECA is usually good about keeping them in circulation so it’s probably just a matter of time before they rerelease it.

I picked him up off of Big Bad Toy Store. Unfortunately he’s sold out now. However, NECAs eBay page still has it listed but it’s unclear if it’s the re-release or not.

I just ordered one off BBTS a few minutes ago. Just one left. Somebody must've cancelled one from their Pile of Loot or something. I read that Target has these as well with the collector boxes in stores, and Walmart has the reissue also but it's on the blister/carded version.

Sudarshan ara they did! I have godzilla 1962 as well and was able to find Godzilla 1989 and Godzilla 2003! So sad neca will not be making anymore Godzilla figures because losing the license to playmates :(

I think the original release also came with the blast effect so you probably just have the OG release. -Nate

No, it's just that some of the rereleased figures still come in the clamshell. It depends if anything really looks off.
