Awesome review, thanx spot. its really the same body? I kinda see more proportionate low half of the body in this version, I also like more the way they painted this one, and yes just like you say the head in the first version was more narrow, goes along with the licensing I guess.

The only Robocop i own was from Mcfarlane toys Movie Maniacs series but I would love to own a new version of Robocop with the spring loaded holster leg. That mimic that mirrors the same feature from the movie is just soooo freaking cool. Can you let us know when that version ( spring loaded leg holster ) will be available for preorder? It's still pretty good. Kinda bummed that the new ultimate one apparewntly doesn't really update much though. Seems like the same figure with a few new accessories. Would've been nice to get updated articulation.

My friends and I snuck into the theater and saw the original RoboCop. It was awesome but I wanted to throw up. Murphy getting shot up still turns my stomach even though I know how they did it.

I think they are the same head sculpt, the helmet was just glued on not as down in your v1. I have the v1 and the nose doesn't show

That's what I was thinking too. The helmet is a different part and it was just not pushed down completely on Spot's original.

I think the Mafex Robocop is the best option for posability and scale, the arms come out more as do the legs. It scales better with 1/12 scale and yet it pairs extremely well with the NECA ED-209 by virtue of it making ED looking huge. That being said NECA is great because Robocop is in the recent Mortal Kombat and like NECA, McFarlane and Storm Collectibles are 7 inch scale and they do MK figures.
