Neck Deep - December (again) Guitar Cover

I know I haven't uploaded anything for a while but life gets busy sometimes! If you follow WTCS on social media you'll probably have an idea. But anyway, now I have a bit more free time on my hands so I thought I'd make a cover.
I actually prefer the original full band version that was on the album but the leads in this one are much more prominent and really fun to play.

I've got the same guitar! I can't seem to get a nice pop punk tone however. I use a Marshall MG30CFX. Any tips? Also you absolutely killed this cover, hope to see more!!

They're stock. I get my tones from PODFARM amp sims and then just mess about with them :)

Andrew Brooke Ah awesome. How does this guitar (epi. lp standard) compare to other Epi Lp's? (Special ii for example.) I've used the special ii before and it plays great, feels easy to switch chords/hand positions on the fretboard, although the only bad thing is that it seems a little too small. Now i'm tied between the Epi. LP standard, HH Blacktop Jaguar, HH opal Jazzmaster or ESP LTD TE-406...

What sets guitars apart in price is simply the build quality and the materials used. The Special II is considered low end whereas the Custom Pro is mid range. The cheaper guitars are usually built up using cheaper wood and cheaper hardware. Price can also differ depending on where the guitar was made, for example Fender strats, the price between a Mexican strat and an American strat can be ridiculous haha. My recommendation would be, if possible, to try them all out yourself and make a judgement that way. The price of a guitar doesn't always mean it's "better" because one person's idea of better will be different to someone else's. I've played some guitars that have been considered as high end guitars but I've just not liked them as much. It all comes down to personal preference :)
