If my calculations and memory is correct, he has 5 base xp per hit (which he has because it's easier to go fast in the video with faster starting leveling), and 5% damage xp. His damage base and crit base I believe are 2, not sure the gradual scale for that. And multi-projectile is listed by the modder, base 25% every level (lvl 5 is consistent double shot.) hope this helps!

Oh, and personally, having the more projectiles be lower, like a base 10% increase with a gradual of 5% per level is less overpowering and doesn't scale super fast early game.

I think the hate was more towards the lack of interesting twists before, with the ranged weapons only in particular. But the coin gun is such a unique weapon that, while can be strong, is also just rarely ever seen, let alone used. I personally think it's a fun twist.
