Should be up his alley. It has crisp combat that's very close to Honkai 3rd and Genshin, but in a more contained world like HSR with Simulated Universe and Elysian Realm gameplay. Basically, Persona 5 with roguelite gameplay instead of turn-based.

I play Honkai Impact 3rd too and although ultimate/burst animations in Honkai can be cooler and/or flashy I must say that Genshin is better with its ultimates in its own way. Also, what do you think of seeing burst animation like Herrscher of Sentient's in Genshin? I think we will have something like that in the future for sure. P.S. I'm Lvl. 88 in HI 3rd :)

I am more excited for this since Hoyo had more budget now than ever before. I hope we had news now degarding this game and Genshin anime. I played the beta and for me this one had more expression and the animation of the models are so lively. What more once the game fully released. Glad we had a lot of variety in Genre, Openworld, Turnbase, TCG, hack n slash, and rogue-lite (rogue-lite because the game is easy based on my experience). Hope they will be also having Fighting Game where all of Hoyo characters was there. 😂

From the looks of it, it seems to be closer to the more refined gameplay of more popular Hack&Slash games like DMC, Bayonetta, or MGR:R. I hope it's better than Honkai Impact 3rd's gameplay, but since it looks to have the dynamic polish of the newer Hoyo gmaes, I have high hopes for it. The only thing that I hope they do is they fully reel in on making it work like a H&S rather than being uber focused on the gacha. Instead of levelling up characters to give them better stats and getting passive/augments to their kit, as the game progresses in level allow the player to upgrade the characters' kits through new moves, new weapons, and upgrading old moves and weapons. Obviously I know that's a bit optimistic as it's a Hoyoverse game, gacha elements and such are guaranteed. However I do hope that it's focused more on being a great H&S experience.

ZZZ is a roguelike game, there is like a 10 minute or so trailer wich shows some of the story and how it all works. I will check it out at least, not sure i have time to juggle this game together with HI3 and Star Rail.

ZZZ is not coming out, for like a year or so. there was only one test beta and mostly silence since then. Usually hoyo makes 3 betas before actual release. So if there will be second beta this year, most likely third one will be next year and then release.

If honkai impact is Eva meets DMC, genshin is LoZ:BotW, themis is Fate/Stay Night, and star rail is SMT/Persona; ZZZ is gunna be FF7R HI3 is a hack n slash arena battle GI is openworld exploration with trivial combat ToT is a light novel with extra steps HSR is a turn based strategic instanced combat ZZZ is going to be a semi turn based arena battle game like the FF7 remake where you can do stuff in real time but you can slow down combat with abilities and combination attacks (kinda like SMT:TMS:FE#'s "session" mechanic)

its like a revamp of honkai 3rd gameplay since they also have a composition of three characters with synergies but smoother and less flashy attacks.. overall it falls into hack n slash category but so far I don't if there's aerial combat like DMC on the development side, I think it is Hoyoverse another attempt to escape the confines "Honkai" as a premise for their game since Genshin is successful by standing on its own feet on the lore side, like Genshin (in the current state, as of now - until proven otherwise), ZZZ seems to be straying away from the "bubble universe" concept of Honkai lore.. so we could expect it to serve a new dish in the menu of Hoyo games

I hope it doesn't happen. English dubbing in any anime game is an abomination. Clara's voiceover in HSR alone proves it. Especially this game obviously refers to Japan in its style. And you can really see how the characters are overplayed. Adding English voice-over is just spoiling the atmosphere of the game.
