Obviously less sentient/younger Demons may not be aware or protective of it, or you could read Taum Kench as an example in bravado and arrogance, since he just throws it around brashly. The more concerning thought that arises from this...Every region has a different form they ascribe to the entity known as Fiddlesticks. We're given to know that Fiddlesticks is something of a ... primordial demon? One of if not the first of Demonkind. What if all of the forms in all the legends are true? What if the name Fiddlesticks _is only a mortal given name?_ What if literally nothing and no one knows his True Name? The name Fiddlesticks could simply be how ancient people on runeterra described the entity of horrors that pulled ramshackle nearby debris together to assemble its body, yet was always completely recognizable from its power. Maybe every time he manifests he assembles a new vessel from whatever is nearby? If a lone mage in a tower was what summoned him this time, his current body could be made from things that were in the mage's tower. Maybe everytime he manifested on runeterra in a different location he assembled a different body resulting in the same legend with different details. ...I really like eldritch horrors.

Yeah I think he is not just mimicing voices but also mimicing the fears inside the peoples heads that have the strongest effect on their feelings of fear and doubt (not just regarding annies sister, for instance riven as well: the voicelines between characters meeting in the rift represents a short moment of how the champions would react to each other in the lore right? - so fiddle is kind of terrifying people psychologically by reminding them to "burdenful" past events in rivens case her feelings of guilt ) - the "it knows what we´re afraid of" can be interpreted that way

You should include the voice lines when Fiddle kills a demon! He calls them out and names the thing that they feed on. (Eve - 'Agony', Tahm - 'Addiction', Nocturne - 'Nightmares' and Raum (Swain) - 'Secrets') It is really interesting. These are the only lines (and the names of the demons) that are not just copies of other people's sentences. Imo it is actually Fiddle who says these things. But why? Maybe these demons are the essence of the things they consume and when Fiddle kills a demon he feels their essence in such a raw form that he can't resist to name these things? Why would he say anything? Why would he say excatly this? Idk, but it is scary!

Possibly or that Fiddlesticks isn't a complete demon but one of ten, since he existed since the breath of creation it's likely Fiddlesticks' true form is a primordial demon of fear and this thing holding host to a scarecrow is only one tenth of the real thing. Be scary either way.

You can see Fiddle's key in Zoe's splash art. That was from before Fidd's rework too, but it looks like they're carrying that over and maybe adjusting it since we can see Fidd actually has two keys around his neck now, instead of the one that was around his neck before. Maybe he stole one back from Zoe, maybe he had 3 and Zoe stole one, maybe he got the 2nd key after Zoe stole one so now he's back to two. I'm more curious to find out what the keys are actually meant for.

So using my massive brain, I wanna speculate; looking at the interactions, I want to speculate that Fiddlesticks is 1 of 10 Elder Demons that cover the primary, darker elements of life, while the other demons we have in game are weaker, secondary elements. You kind of get this idea with Evelyn having "Agony" yelled at her by Fiddle when he kills her. She dosent feed on Lust, she feeds on Agony. Therefore, Tahm is Addiction (not greed), Nocturne is Nightmares (not dread) and Raum/Swain is Secrets. These seem a bit more secondary that Fiddlesticks himself, who is something like a primary element since he feeds on fear itself. Just firing off some head cannon here

Oh man no kidding, that some big brain you got there. I agree on the part that Eve doesn't feed lust so Tham on greed, I believe they either use it differently as their medium to gather their primary "needs" or they use it as a supplementary to their primary "needs". Like Eve use lust to acquire victims and feed on agony and so does Thum use greed to feed on addiction. Or the other way around, their needs are not different from what they use to acquire it but rather as one.
