Neeko herself thinks that she is Vastayashai'rei. In reality she's probably the closest thing alive we have, but she isn't Vastayashai'rei. But a very very close relative, no doubt about that. She's closer to the Vastayashai'rei than other Vastaya like Rengar or Xayah/Rakan, since the Vastaya are the combination of humans and Vastayashai'rei. Neeko's race however (according to what we know so far) never combined with humans in whatever way. But still, she (or her race) isn't purely Vastayashai'rei either.

this is just me venting my ideas: its easy to connect the vastaya'shiarei with neeko. The whole speech that the crimson eyed doran gives to yi about everithing just being form and having to understand escence, well that escence is wat neeko calls shoma and what she uses to change form. I had to check this video when the Darkin saga came. Im somewhat positive that these titans were the Darkin since what other bloodthirsty giant kind was a threat to the whole runeterra than corrupted sunborn (darkin). Aatrox for example was caught in his blade by vastayan moonstalkers and then there is the fact that in the Darkin saga video when Rhaast says "sealed us away" the video shows this place. Not to mention that Xolaani is know to be held by Yi and the people here were worshipping a "God that fell out from grace". That is an old Western way to say someone fell into sin or something like that.
