So once each player has created their army they can't create any more monsters throughout the game ? (Great video btw !)

Correct. You build what you can at the beginning of the game. And thanks!

There is one monster ridden by a dwarf. If the monster is squished you DO get to reform the dwarf by himself in mid game

This is a long way to go to mash some play doh figures. Can you just buy the molds and do what you want with the monsters?

I highly recommend you try it if given the chance and they do sell monster packs that come with two molds and some clay.

The game does encourage in house rules and with different play levels too, the game is very variable depending on how you want to play

That’s tabletop wargaming for you. The base game (without the call to arms expansion) is a good chunk simpler than this. But even this has varying difficulty rulesets, and the game serves as both its own table top war game, and an entry level experience to allow the inexperienced to acclimate to such a jarring scene. It has a lot to take in, but considerably less so than something like warhammer. If you aren’t interested in the game itself, they sell monster packs in sets of 2, but unfortunately each main game box does come with 2 exclusive molds that (to my knowledge) are otherwise unobtainable without buying the actual full game
