Looks great! I always find when I do terrain that theres moments where youre thinking "Ah Ive ruined it" but if you push on through those, it always turns out well. I can see in the video you felt the same after putting the yellow on but it turned out amazing! Really fantastic looking piece and I hope we see many more! Love this channel, its no-nonsense, no clickbait, just building amazing stuff and showing a real joy and enthusiasm for it. :)

I don't tend to comment frequently, because I just have videos playing in the background as I potter around my hobby space. But bud I just wanted to say that everything you make on this channel is inspiration fuel and a pure joy to look at 😊 Carry on being awesome and take care

Amazing! The bright colors step is always a hard one, sometimes the whole piece looks so out of place, but as you mentioned, it's just a matter of keep working on it and going through the next layers. Again, loved it and the idea of having two games going on in the same board is super cool. Oh, and the music selection is soooooooo good too!

Thanks a lot! I'm always working on this thing in some way lately it seems. That yellow though..... I'm a bit surprised that I came out of it really! :) But that's how everything moves forward if your into this hobby... Get stuck in and see if you can get yourself out. I had such a good time fixing it with the rusting too! Thanks for taking time out of your day to join us!

Hey, just discovered you channel. I really love the look of your scenery. It really captures how the underhive looks in my head. I'm definitly lookin forward for more. I also love your use of oilpaints. How long do they usually take to dry the way you use them? And how resilliant are they compared to acrylics?
@jdinthesumpsea15605 ай бұрын
Welcome aboard! Thanks for checking us out! The oils dry within a couple of days after when I use them like this. It gets faster the more I use spirits and powders in the mix. This one took about 2 days realistically. The oil paints are stupidly hard surfaces. the trick is to get it a consistency that it dries completely (which I'm still working with to be honest:)

On this piece did you wait for the oils to totally dry before adding your weathering powders, or apply them when things are still a bit wet to have the mineral spirits and the oil pants interact with the pigment powders?
@jdinthesumpsea15605 ай бұрын
somewhat wet..... I let things dry a bit for about 30min to an hour before doing the powders........ Wanted to adjust things a little bit.... and I had to pick my kids up from practice also..... I think...... Worked out pretty well really! The really goopy stuff was a little dryer which intern didn't quite mix everything so fast in that step. I'm probably going to be inserting it for future projects. Thanks!

Could I ask what type of glue you use to attach the wooden ladders to the pvc piping?
@jdinthesumpsea15605 ай бұрын
Its cheap super glue sprinkled with baking soda. The cheaper and smellier the glue the better usually. Once you add the bicarbonate to it, it gets rock hard. A good trick if you want to fill a gap with a welding line as well as rust effects. Thanks for tuning in!
