I realize the Necronomicon is fictional, but if it really did exist, this video offers the most plausible outline for how it might actually be structured in real life. All it needs is sophisticated prose similar to that of William Shakespeare and the King James Bible filled with colorful allusions, cryptic metaphors, and chilling warnings of the most dire quality to sound authentic.

The name "Alhazrad" is said to mean "Slave of the Devourer". It also means "Servant of the Great Lord". It's feasible that Lovecraft might've channeled Ancient Knowledge from an actual once-living mystic named Alhazrad. I've often wondered if authors like H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard was shown Earth's Ancient Past through their channeled seances with demons. Those Demons were Alive way back then to remember that whole epoch of life. Earth's Ancient Times are well within a Demon's Living Memory. Also, Lovecraft & Howard were both manic depressives. Certain types of knowledge Deteriorates your Sanity. Saps your Will to Live. That mindset was how Lovecraft and Howard finished out their lives.

I have heard the Necronomicon is really Lovecraft´s fanciful adaption of the Picatrix, a text from the 9th century. The Picatrix is itself a translation of an Arabic text caled the Ghayat al Hakim. Now I read Arabic and have gotten a copy of Ghayat al Hakim. I actually use it. It does discuss the Great Old Ones and teaches how to use their energies. There are a lot of other people who use this book. We always have. If you really want to work with them, learn Arabic, go to a country like Egypt and find a copy of the Ghayat al Hakim. Don´t waste your time with modern editions of the Necronomicon.

Crowley and Lovecrafts dark prank on the occult community. I've seen people try this book and falter along the rites and preparations, face serious life altering consequences. A practiced person wouldn't bother with this trap off book. There's literally a chapter that gets to the end and warns that if you've read this far without practicing that you and your generations are damned.

To everyone who says that the necronomicon was a fiction book created by Lovecraft. Yall really need to learn about the life of Lovecraft. He was raised rich, after his parents died while he was very young he lived in his uncles mansion which had a huge and comprehensive library where he spent YEARS studying everything he could possibly think of. This is where he found refrence to the Necronomicon and the deities and the sunken city. Ontop of the fact 3 versions of the Necronomicon have been written. 1 by Al Hazrid, 1 by Simon, 1 by Aleister Crowley (Edit) slightly mistaken information... the original was written by Al Hazrid, Crowley added to it, then Simon completed it. So theres really only 1 Necronomicon. For anyone intrested pick up the Simon version as that is the completed culmination of all 3

I own 2 copies of the Necronomicon, one i got in the early 80s as a kid and another from a few years ago, in neither of these copies do any of these chapters and text appear....the 1st chapter is a bastardized amalgamation of Sumerian and Babalonian creation myths with some arabic mythology chucked in for good fortune and the rest are made up rituals and chants
