Would you believe this started as a Megaman song?
Yep. Seems like everyone and their grandma is doing original Megaman songs, and I thought it sounded like fun... but after a while I started getting carried away and it mutated into something way too dramatic to be Megaman, and I liked it too much, so I said "screw it," overhauled it like mad, and now it's done. :)
The song loops, as it was originally intended to be bgm. Switched it up with some square bass, and avoided DPCM - it likes to bully the triangle and noise channels, and I made some damn tasty snares this time, I think. :P
All in all, I like it, but it might be a little too over-the-top for some tastes.

I'll never forget good music. It's been 10 years but damn it's still so great. Listening to your musics gave me a clear end goal; you're one of the reasons why I didn't quit FamiTracker. Edit: I just found your 2011 goodbye zip file on the old forums. Very great library of musics. I have the occasion to learn from the real artists. 2023: I just quit music. 8 years of efforts and no satisfying results. No point in trying to reach a level I can't reach.

Question: I'm currently working on a little commentary video for a challenge run for a game called Crystal Project. I see this has the Creative Commons Attribution license attached, does this mean I could use this as music in that video? I mainly use a Mac currently, so MilkyTracker is probably the best solution for me. I tried to install FamiTracker via WineBottler, but I kept getting a "Direct sound error" towards the end of the install. :(
