Hello, our Fred is almost 13 now. He has an anomaly with his upper gut which causes adverse reactions to certain foods including bones which the vet advised not to give. Fred becimes,quite poorly if he eats any foods dogs are advised not to, as in pooing blood etc. When this happens we keep him hydrated with a home made salt and sugar drink and let him choose when yesterday to eat, constipation can cause the same outcome . The anomaly can be an inherant gene from the Piedmont breed from which the border terrier is bred, crossed with a Dandy Dinmot in the early 1800's I. Cumbria. Other than this our dear Fred has given so much pleasure, love and loyalty, and worships the four grandchildren he's watched over from the age of 5 ! Good luck with your little one, and just read the route as they live a rabbit/cat chase!

It could be goat’s milk. That’s what my Border has every day. It was recommended by a vet because it doesn’t contain lactose so won’t trigger an intolerance.
