This is probably the most important rail project since Nigeria's history as it not only connects several towns and cities in southern Nigeria but more importantly will stitch up all the seaports (existing and under construction) which means ships bound to Nigeria could actually call at any of these ports if the intended port is unable to berth ships at ETA. This same rail could also pave way for further economic integration with Cameroon and the rest of central and East Africa via Calabar - Douala - Yaounde. I guess sometime in the future there'll be rail construction between Birnin Kebbi (Nigeria's last state capital to the north west) with Maiduguri (Nigeria's last state capital to the north East) with Kano as a critical junction. Then later Sokoto to Ilorin

I really think it is we Nigerians that need reorientation. As poor and as backward as some European countries are, you will never see them stealing and destroying rail lines. The whole of Europe is connected by rail and these lines even pass through many rural areas, yet they respect and appreciate the lines. We all blame governments here and yet are wicked to ourselves by destroying public utilities. Shame!
@jaydiomoyeni74363 жыл бұрын
Why do you guys think like that? Who will build fence around rail road for heaven's sake? Don't be laughable. No thieves dare steal active Rail Rods. Waoh!!! How dare you think that way for heaven's sake? That thing is a conductor and if you lay hands on it, it will trigger off somewhere that you're tampering with it. Secondly, it's not something you can just remove like your touch light batteries. WAOH!!!..Thirdly, the rail road is busy with train on it. Once you get too close to it to do evil, the technology will already let the train itself know that something is being removed and lastly, Where will you go with active Rail slippers or rods? Even your children will lynch you. The one you heard was being stolen were the ones abandoned close to forty years ago or more or less. You can get worried for terrorists and IPOB and Herdsmen who destroy everything that belongs to the State. Bombs, yes... But not stealing. I am not sure IPOB will even do that in the SE. I just don't know if they'd blow up even rail roads and the Niger Bridge. Common, humanity has not got that low yet.

Nedmeia! This is one of your best productions so far. Your narration was measured, clear, and precise. The details you provided were spot-on! You bring smiles to the faces of Nigerians who are clamoring for the expected take-off of the Nigerian economy. Nigeria is about to become a Super-power. When that electricity project you highlighted a few weeks ago comes on line, the country will explode with economic activity. All the potential economic investments and inventions that have been bottled up all these years, will be unleashed. Those gifted youth, who design and build everything from cars to airplanes will finally have the raw material that they need to produce their products. The future for Nigeria is really bright, once we get past this period of upheaval. This period will surely pass, because you know the old saying; before dawn, it gets very dark. So, thanks for highlighting these projects and giving them the uplifting attention that they deserve. One last thing, though. Please try and emphasize the ""Th" in "Thanks", so you don't sound like you're saying "Tanks". It's very important that your audience know that you're thanking them, okay. Just a word of advice. Excellent video and narration, keep the excellent job up. Africans must tell their stories no matter how minute or trivial it might sound because for a long time the world has been subject to negative news about Africa and black peoples but now we can tell the truth by telling it as it is. So your efforts and those of others like you and the positive language you use is very encouraging and reinforces a positive mindset and attitude towards Nigeria and Africa. We don’t want to hear Western negativity any more

PDP held us back from having power because all the DISCO were awarded to thier family and friend and will require Nigeria to pay 8 billion dollars if Nigeria want to cancel the contract

@@delegun Is there any difference under APC? Please let stop the blame game, darkness still loom in Naija with our on half baked electricity power supply. Sad

The funny thing about Nigeria is that, as good people including the narrator wish for the success of these laudable projects, there are also many people benefiting from the current chaos and backwardness including those in government who due to selfish reasons would actively work against their successful implementation.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how two steel lines on concrete gravel bed costs $11.1 billion to build?! I hope they budgeted well. I hope money didn't get squandered. I also hope we are learning to do this ourselves soon.
