🎉 Retro movie 🍿 greetings from coastal Mississippi. I saw this at the Drive in theater in 1972. One of the best disaster movies. Poseidon is a timely treasure to be enjoyed. Stay away from the poor remake. The music is what makes it golden. I met Maureen years ago. ❤😂🎉 Enjoy the cruise on the SS Poseidon

My dad and I had an annual tradition of watching this film while celebrating New Year's together, and he always loved this song. Would definitely count it amongst his favorites. He passed away earlier this year, and now this is my first New Year's Eve without him. Wish I could have gotten just one more with him, but then again, I think I'd always want just one more even if I got my wish. I miss you, Dad. More than I could describe. I'll keep the tradition going as long as I can. I haven't forgotten the times we shared. Here's to fond memories, and the morning after.

l bought the 45, played it to death, bought another copy. It's not everyday you feel dedication like that to a song, a concept, a philosophy. The lessons I learned from films like The Poseidon Adventure is not to lie down passively in the face of adversity and die. Fight for something that really has meaning, not a new pair of Nikes or your team winning a Superbowl game. We all should be exposed to such clear morality tales early on in life. If you're lucky, they may help shape and define you into a person you're proud of becoming.
