1:15 little tip, for some versions of live a blank sampler isnt a default preset load up an instance of simpler and save it as a new preset then drag that preset into User Library > Default > Slicing Also this setup has some insane potential, lots of ways to map the chain selector than just through velocity, was also a fun discovery playing the keyboard on the random sample loops, slicing it by transient really jumbles the rhythm around and with that asynchronicity theres a lot of weird wonder to be found with the right audio source, be open and adaptable!

Big fan, So I have been having trouble with bass and noises for glitch or breakcore stuff, I am very happy with my drm work stff but trying to make other parts as 'different' I had trouble. So, I loaded 10 bass guitar samples, slappy poppy squarpusher ones, cropped them into one sample so it sounded like I just laid out 3 second samples end to end, then did this trick your showing. It made instant primus/squarepsher bass without any dramas, its fcking amazing trick. you could use any sample no matter the length. I sed a classical symphony song and did the same, makes amazing chops and weirdness like the Venetian snares album, that suicide song album he did. amazing work bud, I fuckin love you

In the newer ableton when u slice to new midi track it goes to a drum rack and not to multi sample mode. So would u do like a rack of racks ? And have to copy values to siblings for every single change you make in the samplers so it’s not just effecting the once slice on the one pad?
@somaticjet27173 жыл бұрын
Or can u make it slice to multi sample mode somehow that I don’t know?

17:10 You should try pitching it down 6 semitones simultaneously with the original. Will generate some serious brown noise

Thanks Ned. Truly inspiring. I got Live Suite 10.0.5. I can't find the "blank sampler" when I slice to new midi track? There are other presets but not clear sounding one like you use. The clean sounding one are in a drumrack.

really great work, congrats mate. Just wanted to ask you, how would I do if I had to use the same velocity randomisation thing with an audio effect rack? I tried it but it doesn't load velocity on audio track of course. Cheers

this is manufactered, stripped down and predictable pop glitch. Try Max MSP. Ableton routines sounds so rigid... plus eventually pop (ed sheeran crap) eats up everything different.
