12:02 "Suddenly I'm having a little wave of nostalgia for my mid-20s from when I used to play gigs and uh... and there would be about... 50, maybe a 100 people on the dancefloor and then I start playing and then there would 3 people you know" I feel you on this one

When I was less experienced, I amassed a stockpile of samples from automating everything without knowing what I was doing. Unfortunately my hard drive died, taking them with it, and now that I am experienced it’s very hard to find new sounds or recreate the samples I used to make. Moral of the story, if you find it easy to discover new sounds, *back them up.* If you find it hard to discover new sounds, dig through Ned’s videos and try generative processing

On the subject of FZ too, it's the kind of music he'd approve of I reckon. Sounds quite "zappish" to me in it's chaotic arrangement (most notably found in his synclavier II work). For some reason this peice actaully reminds me of FZ's black page synclavier rendition.
