Ableton should definitely pay you for your videos, they're masterclasses on how to use their product.

Sometimes I don’t even care what he is doing in ableton, I just like the funny stuff he comes out with. I remember when he had an argument with himself but was mimicking an Aphex twin fan boy criticising his own tutorial, that was gold

one of my favourite new things in 12 is you can just hold down B for the brush/pen just while you use it, then let go and it turns off. works with the other single key toggle things too

Ned use “copy value to siblings” in the right click menu, you won’t have to click between drum rack cells to mod the same parameter. Workflow!

thank you Ned! Would you ever consider doing that video about making music sound like AI without actually using AI? Maybe with FFT filters and bad encoding etc...

Don’t forget to select all and quantize to the whole note for a quick clean-up.

well in heavy dubstep going off the grid just means popping the sample delay panel open and sliding stuff around in time til its wonky. its basically just groove or swing
@notnoaintno51347 ай бұрын
but if all you do is mess with delaying the notes your notes are still linked to a "grid", and their relationship is still griddy, except they're offset a bit. Like the space between the notes is still griddy
