My great great something or other grandmother Hattie crossed the Oregon trail when she was 16 and newly married. Her original wedding ring and earings that crossed with her were passed down to me. I've always loved and felt somewhat of a connection with this game because of it. That little bit of history is so interesting to me, perhaps because of my family connection.

I remember playing this every day in elementary school. It was the mid 90s and my school had these already outdated Packard Bell computers with this, and some kind of frog bisecting game. We would all name the characters after each other and laugh when our friends caught some disease, or got mauled by wildlife, or swept away in the river, etc.

Y'all struck content gold. The adaptations have always been different over the years. I remember growing up with a mostly text based version of Oregon Trail and I loved it. Played a couple other versions since, even pondered a real-life Oregon Trail inspired roadtrip in my lifetime. Anyway, I hope there will be more episodes in the future.
