I love how you guys play this game in the hardest way possible. If you use the barricades to block every route but one the orcs will only go one path. Then you just work together and clear them out. Super easy.

barriers are amazing, Neebs. Seriously good for late game stuff, cos you can keep them all bunched up and walking through every trtap. If you upgrade them, they'll be cheaper and double sized

This! Barriers are probably my most deployed asset. Pathing is key to success in the game. Slows down the hoard, gives you more time to do damage. And if you place it in the right spot in the map, the orcs will only turn around and head the other direction after they see it, giving you a lot more time to hit them. You can force them to walk the map almost twice as long.

@@Tdoshok Yea Dora and Simon seem to not appreciate the value of control traps over damage. Your player does THE MOST damage out of anything so making it easier to funnel them into your shots is good stuff, though ngl the archer walls were insane and funny as hell.

Barriers are possibly the most overpowered thing in the game. In that level, if you put a line of barricades across the stairs at the top, on one side of the rift, EVERY enemy on that side will walk up, see the barricades, and walk back down the stairs and up the other side. Giving you that much more time to kill them. I did exactly that on that level, put big flip traps on the paths and then put every single other trap on one side of the stairs for a pretty easy win (solo). Basically, as long as you don't completely block an enemy's route, barricades can be used to control their pathing! You can use a few barricades to narrow a entry path and completely cover it in traps. It's called a killing corridor. A lot of levels require you to use barricades effectively if you're doing it solo and want a 5 skull rank.

The barricades are actually quite useful, especially if you invest in reducing their costs. Like when Simon took over, just had to use enough to block off one path from that backdoor.

I like how Neebs goes into the menu to add the tar trap but never adds it to his hotbar. They never use the extra weapons in the hotbar. This is so infuriating. I love it.

Stanchion is the word for those ropes Neebs, Stanches more refers to the verb or action form of restricting the flow of something. Stanch basically means the samething, not to be confused with Staunch though. Which means to support someone or something with loyalty.

So after seeing you guys play this I got this game. Barriers are crazy helpful! Create a maze for them to walk through and nail with catapult or other traps. Also, combine tar with darts. Upgraded tar increases fire damage and the dart traps can get fire upgrades.

For enemies to path through, you need to leave a space 2 wide for the larger enemies. (The width of 2 archers or 1 spike trap for reference.) Also, placing a continuous trap like lasers in front of your barriers can prevent sappers from destroying them. (2 lasers or a laser and tar trap combo if you wanna be safe.)

I tell you what, I LOVE using the barrier to funnel them right through the vines. They take damage on the vines and also they slow down and with upgraded vines the vines will grow in spaces. It really does help in my opinion more then tar does.

Love this game and that youse guys are playing it. Brimstone takes out those small quick pests, put your archers up high out of the way. use barriers to close off paths so they all come in one way. Another great vid!

I think Simon is actually doing a good job since there are so many play styles for this game (I commented this at wave 4/8 about halfway through the video) but Neebs is 100% right about the barricades, they redirect enemies so you can literally cut off a whole side of a map! and FLOWERS ARE BROKEN, saved me so many times

Neebs was onto something with the barricades and creating a maze.. Just as he noticed they are expensive so only use them in tight areas to create maze.. Find choke points and then create mazes there.

Put some flame traps by each gate , run over and Block one of the stairs, so they all come up one side . Put archers above on each of the platforms covering the stairs (you have to jump to platform) then put traps on the stairs and block the bit up top so they go outside then back in (long way) I do this level on single player lol one of my favorites get lots of dropped stuff the more traps they touch.

You can use the barriers on maps where they come out of one door and take two paths to close one pathway off and funnel them all down a singular path which makes it significantly easier to make choke points and concentrate your traps and firepower. I feel like you need to have me on call as a strategic advisor at times. I should say I do still enjoy watching these videos and I mean this in a helpful way not out of frustration

I do the barrier thing but after the gates. Once they are in they are corralled by barriers so they must walk in a single line. They all have to walk threw all the traps! :D I feel like this is the easy way in single player.

the monsters dont break barriers unless it completely blocks their spawn or all routes to the rift are blocked. make sure to strategically place barriers on certain maps to have an easier time defending the rift, thumbs up so they can see this. 👍👀👈
