Although I wouldn’t use the word “addiction”, I completely sympathize with what you are saying. I went through a very similar experience in 2017 (when I was about the age you are now… maybe a couple years younger). Since then, I have learned to better balance football with other facets of my life that (1) are very important and (2) I have more control over. I have watched more Cowboys football this year than other recent years, and I notice an improved difference over past decades. One day (especially when your kids are old enough to enjoy football) you will too.
