less tire pressure 10-12 psi in the rear for drag racing ... gets more traction contact patch to the ground ... thats why you see drag cars with tire bead locks or screws around the rims to hold the tires on to the rim because the tires pressure is so low

Me and a buddy of mine measured out a quarter mile before the drag pack came out. The 65 Stang with NOS will do a 1/4 mile in 7.0 secs. 8.3 without. Those numbers aren't perfect mind you, but they're close.

The 1964 1/2 mustang was created for the women's market. Ford decided to make a car that would appeal to women drivers in order to start selling more cars. What happen was younger guys bought the cars up, dumped the crap engine in them, and shoved a huge motor in them to make hot rods. Yea it was never made to look like it could go fast because that was not the marketing campaign it was going for.

Some kids like this one who's got a lot of money, buy console or a more powerful PC, play the NFS game, any rich kids can do that, but don't even know how to drive, or even physics in this game. you forgot about controlled acceleration & braking during cornering, & proper shifting on drag race as mentioned in the earlier comments. Thanks man, tell me how to play the game but you don't even own it. Sorry bud but if you don't play it you won't know how the cars or physics work in the game. Not being a dick but for everyone talking shit about my driving in this game really doesn't understand how physics work. The game is delayed with the movements, the handling is very unrealistic and the handling slider does very little unless you drag the setting to one end or the other. The car seems almost the exact same with the settings at one end or the other. I've driven other cars and this was not the best at turning because it's the car and the speed I was trying to turn the corners at. Some cars can do it and others cannot. People need to get this in their head.

Its pretty good. Most cars in the game, even some of the Lambos, aren't pulling 8 second 1/4 mile times. The 1970's Golf (lol) and 70's Porsche 911 are amongst the fastest in terms of 1/4 mile (mid 8 seconds). I was hoping to find a spreadsheet or video of updated maxed out car stats for all the cars, but all the ones I found were from console launch, which has seen various changes to the cars stats since then :(
